    Abstract: A method for performing a real-time estimation of the particle size distribution in the outer surface of a stockpile is provided. The method involves combining information about real-time stockpile volumes, rock parameters, and measures of particle size distribution obtained over a period of time which is long enough to provide consistent operational data points. The method involves receiving information about the stockpile volume and/or enough disperse level measurements to estimate the stockpile volumetric distribution which is later combined with particle size information. The information can be obtained from a sensor or a method which generates either a particle size distribution or size related parameters associated to an estimated distribution. Once all information is gathered, a particle size distribution, along with rock properties in the stockpile are obtained.

    Abstract: A method for reducing “blow-out” of annular welds for attaching press-fit components in a fuel injector assembly is disclosed. The method employs a multi-step welding procedure whereby a first annular weld bead that corresponds to less than 360° of rotation of the assembly about a longitudinal axis leaves a radial void that is thereafter sealed with a second annular weld bead. In an alternative embodiment, a relief region is formed on radially-facing surfaces of the components, the relief region being disposed adjacent to a press-fit region. A sealed gap is thereby formed in the relief region between the welds and the press-fit region. The sealed gap provides a further means for expansion of trapped gases that could otherwise “blow out” the liquid weld bead.

    Abstract: A container apparatus comprising a hollow container body having a first end and a second end. The first end constitutes the top of the device while the second end constitutes the bottom of the device. A lid is removable from the second end. This removable lid will enable access to the interior of the container. This access will allow for items, such as chemicals, to be placed therein. Secured to the first end is a three dimensional ornamental. Punchable indentations are located along the encompassing side wall of the container body for allowing the container to act as a chlorinater when submerged in water and having the appropriate amount of holes punched.
