Patent number: 7938626Abstract: A shim for a turbomachine blade is disclosed. The shim includes two branches which wrap around flanks of a blade root, and two tabs. Each of the tabs extend from one end of a respective one of the two branches. The tabs are folded towards each other and are interconnected in such a manner as to prevent them from unfolding. Advantageously, the shim includes a connection part which interconnects the tabs in such a manner as to prevent them from unfolding. The connection part is assembled to the tabs in such a manner as to allow the branches of the shim to spread apart. For example, the connection part can be suitable for stretching in the direction for spreading the branches apart.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 2006Date of Patent: May 10, 2011Assignee: SNECMAInventors: Jean-Bernard Forgue, Jack-Pierre Lauvergnat, Thierry Nitre, Patrick Jean-Louis Reghezza

Patent number: 7458769Abstract: A device for damping vibration of a retention ring for axially retaining turbomachine fan blades, the blades being designed to be mounted via their roots on a rotary disk having an annular flange extending axially and provided with a plurality of radial crenellations for coming into contact with a plurality of complementary radial crenellations of a retention ring designed to be mounted around the disk flange, the device comprising an abutment element of elastomer material designed to be received axially between two adjacent crenellations of the flange and two adjacent complementary crenellations of the retention ring, and radially between the flange of the rotary disk and the retention ring, said abutment element presenting contact surfaces for coming into contact with the adjacent crenellations, with the retention ring, and with the flange of the rotary disk.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 2006Date of Patent: December 2, 2008Assignee: SNECMAInventors: Jean-Bernard Forgue, Jack-Pierre Lauvergnat, Henry Louis Paul Nicolas Loiseau, Didier Monnet, Thierry Nitre, Patrick Jean-Louis Reghezza

Publication number: 20030143078Abstract: A rotor element for a turbocompressor having at least one rotor stage supporting a series of mobile blades that do not have a platform separating the aerofoil from the root of the blade. At least one recess is provided in order to allow the engagement of the roots of the mobile blades, wherein the rotor element comprises at least two consecutive individual rings having at their lateral periphery one annular half-profile which, during the axial juxtaposition of the two individual rings, form a complete recess in which the roots of the series of mobile blades are engaged.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 17, 2002Publication date: July 31, 2003Inventors: Dante Benedetto, Jack-Pierre Lauvergnat

Patent number: 6595755Abstract: This axial mounting of the bottoms (5) of fan blades provides two levels of flexibility, and features rather low stiffness after using up a predetermined clearance (35) between two stop parts (32, 34), which then imposes a significant increase in stiffness; however significant energy was able to be absorbed through the elastic deformation of certain parts (7, 30) located between the blade and the disc (2), which enables the blade to withstand rather significant momentary forces, for example if a neighboring blade breaks and strikes it.Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 2001Date of Patent: July 22, 2003Assignee: SNECMA MoteursInventors: Michel Antoine Brioude, Charles Jean Pierre Douguet, Jack Pierre Lauvergnat, Alain Pierre Vegnant

Patent number: 5820347Abstract: A packing member for restraining the root of a fan blade in a socket of a rotor disk takes the form of a curvilinear plate comprising a metallic sub-structure having recessed portions and a semi-rigid elastomeric material molded into and filling the recessed portions. The member has a substantially metallic central area extending as far as the side edge of the member on the same side as the extrados face of the blade, the metallic central area having a machined profile set back relative to the profile of the socket so as to permit the root of the blade to rock in response to a violent impact on the blade. The packing member has upstream and downstream end areas which are entirely metallic, and the two side edges of the member upstream and downstream of the central area are defined by the elastomeric material. Between the two elastomeric side edges, both upstream and downstream of the metallic central area, the member has a metallic lower part and an upper part formed by the elastomeric material.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 1997Date of Patent: October 13, 1998Assignee: Societe Nationale d'Etude et de Construction de Moteurs d'Aviation "Snecma"Inventors: Pierre Xavier Bussonnet, Jack Pierre Lauvergnat
