    Abstract: An assembly for an internal combustion engine comprises a unitary cylinder head having at least one opening extending therethrough and at least one combustion chamber housing removably associated with the unitary cylinder head and received at least in part in the one opening. The chamber is formed for cooling fluid within a part of the opening within the cylinder head such that cooling fluid circulates about the combustion chamber housing. A method is provided for assembling the combustion chamber housing within the cylinder head and for assembling the composite structure to an internal combustion engine.
