Abstract: A positioning unit for drill stands, the positioning unit including a flat base, a vertical support panel rigid with and extending perpendicular from one end of the base, an elongate slot through the support panel, an elongated sleeve transversely aligned with the slot and longitudinally adjustable therealong, and an elongate pointer rod slidably received through the sleeve and selectively locked therein in a slidably adjusted position. Side braces extend between the base and the support panel and project below the base to define side flanges for cooperation with the base in a mounting of the positioning unit on the support bar of a drill stand.
