Patent number: 11913623Abstract: Improvements a portable elevated lighting system that uses LED lighting elements for illumination. The LED lights are selected based upon the light transmission angle so the fewest number of lighting elements are needed to provide an even flood or focus of light from the system. A reflector works as a heat sink to remove heat from the LED lights and extend the operation life of the LED's. Thermal paste and or a thermal pad is used between the LED lighting element and the frame to conduct sufficient heat away from the LED element. Two versions are shown as a stadium light and as a circular flood light that provides lighting without shadows or bright areas. The system can be operated from a generator or solar for charging batteries so the lighting can operate self-contained without producing noise.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2023Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Inventor: Jack Roberts

Patent number: 11603931Abstract: A high temperature secondary seal between a rotating seal face adaptor sleeve and a rotating shaft does not consume additional axial space beyond the axial space occupied by the secondary seal. The seal includes a single ring drive collar comprising a plurality of radial directed bolts in tapped holes. As the bolts are tightened they enter a cylindrical cavity in the drive collar and impact therein a sloped surface of a crush ring. The vertical force thereby applied to the crush ring displaces the crush ring axially into a secondary graphite sealing element, thereby crushing the secondary sealing element against the adaptor sleeve and shaft, and forming a seal there between. The crush ring sloped surface can terminate in a vertical face, so that upon sufficient displacement of the crush ring the bolts abut the vertical face and impact the shaft, fixing the drive collar to the shaft.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2019Date of Patent: March 14, 2023Assignee: Flowserve Management CompanyInventors: Glenn Robert Owens, Jr., Jack Robert Vasko
