  • Publication number: 20230188384
Abstract: Methods, apparatus and systems for wireless sensing using multiple groups of wireless devices are described. In one example, a described system comprises: heterogeneous wireless devices in a venue, and a processor. A particular device is configured to communicate with a first device through a first wireless channel based on a first protocol using a first radio, and configured to communicate with a second device through a second wireless channel based on a second protocol using a second radio. The processor is configured for: obtaining a time series of channel information (TSCI) of the second wireless channel based on a wireless signal communicated between the particular device and the second device; computing a pairwise sensing analytics based on the TSCI; and computing a combined sensing analytics based on the pairwise sensing analytics. The particular device transmits the combined sensing analytics to the first device, to perform a wireless sensing task.

  • Patent number: 11444710
Abstract: Methods, apparatus and systems for wireless sensing are described. In one embodiment, a described presentation system comprises: a presentation device with a user-interface; a processor communicatively coupled to the presentation device; a memory communicatively coupled to the processor; and a set of instructions stored in the memory. The set of instructions, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to perform: determining a plurality of time series of analytics (TSA) associated with a lifelog of a living object, determining a common time axis for the plurality of TSA, and generating a presentation that presents the plurality of TSA synchronously and jointly in a hybrid manner based on the common time axis. The presentation is presented on the user-interface of the presentation device.

  • Publication number: 20200302187
Abstract: Methods, apparatus and systems for counting and recognizing objects or people based on rhythmic motion monitoring are described. A described method comprises: obtaining N1 time series of channel information (TSCI) of a wireless multipath channel that is impacted by a rhythmic motion of an object in a venue, wherein the N1 TSCI is extracted from a wireless signal transmitted from a transmitter to a receiver through the wireless multipath channel; decomposing each of the N1 TSCI into N2 time series of channel information components (TSCIC), wherein a channel information component (CIC) of each of the N2 TSCIC at a time comprises a respective component of a channel information (CI) of the TSCI at the time, wherein N1 and N2 are positive integers; monitoring the rhythmic motion of the object based on at least one of: the N1*N2 TSCIC and the N1 TSCI.

  • Patent number: 10345575
Abstract: An electrowetting display device comprises electrowetting pixels. Each of the electrowetting pixels includes a hydrophobic layer portion disposed on a first electrode, an electrolyte solution overlying the hydrophobic layer, and a thin film transistor (TFT) that is switched on to select each of the electrowetting pixels using active matrix addressing, wherein the TFT is in electrical contact with the first electrode. The electrowetting display further includes a second electrode in electrical contact with the electrowetting pixels, and a reset control circuit in electrical contact with the second electrode to provide a reset pulse in unison to the electrowetting pixels.

  • Patent number: 10284695
Abstract: This disclosure describes voice-enabled modular devices that act as functional, voice-controlled endpoints at which users may provide voice commands. The voice-enabled modular devices may include a power unit which may be installed into a wall permanently to serve as a power source, and a front-panel module which detachably couples to the power unit via a hardware interface. The hardware interface may allow the front-panel module and power unit to communicate with each other, and may further allow the power unit to provide power to the front-panel module. The power unit of the voice-enabled modular device described herein may be configured to provide power to multiple front-panel modules having different capabilities, and potentially different power requirements, thereby supporting multiple front-panel modules to increase the functionality of the voice-enabled modular devices.

  • Publication number: 20040055811
Abstract: An earphone device includes a housing, an electrical unit and a speaker. The housing has first and second portions, and an arc-shaped portion with a first end connected to the first portion and a second end connected to the second portion. The first and second portions have confronting inner end surfaces. The arc-shaped portion has a curved inner surface contiguous with the inner end surfaces of the first and second end portions. The curved inner surface cooperates with the inner end surfaces to define a cavity having a size sufficient to permit extension of an upper part of the human outer ear therethrough. The electrical unit has components distributed between the first and second portions. The speaker is mounted on the housing, is coupled to the electrical unit, and is disposed in the cavity so as to be located adjacent to an ear canal of the human outer ear.
