  • Publication number: 20240424430
Abstract: A filter element is provided. The filter element includes a media pack, a first endplate, and a second endplate. The media pack defines a hollow cavity that extends along a center axis. The first endplate is coupled to the media pack and includes a first endplate surface, a first inner flange, a second inner flange, and a first axial sealing member. The first inner flange extends axially away from the first endplate into the hollow cavity of the media pack. The second inner flange defines an L-shaped cross-section and extends radially inward from the first inner flange. The first axial sealing member is positioned within a groove defined by the first inner flange and the second inner flange. The second endplate is coupled to the media pack opposite to the first endplate and includes a second endplate surface, a third inner flange, and a first radial sealing member. The first radial sealing member contacts the third inner flange.

  • Publication number: 20240335772
Abstract: A fluid filtration system is provided. The system includes a filter head and a filter cartridge removably coupled to the filter head. The filter cartridge includes a shell housing defining a first housing end, a second housing end, and a housing sidewall extending between the first housing end and the second housing end. The filter cartridge further includes a filter element received within the shell housing and removably coupled to the shell housing. The filter element includes a media pack and an endplate. The media pack is configured to filter matter from a fluid flowing therethrough. The endplate is coupled to an end of the media pack. The endplate includes an expansible scaling member extending axially away from the endplate in a direction opposite to the media pack and having a compliant portion. The expansible sealing member is configured to expand in diameter when the expansible sealing member engages the shell housing.

  • Patent number: 8942468
Abstract: Techniques for a shape descriptor used for object recognition are described. Tokens of an object in digital image data are captured, where tokens can be edges, interest points or even parts. Geometric configurations of the tokens are captured by describing portions of the shape of the object. The shape of such configurations is finely quantized and each configuration from the image is assigned to a quantization bin. Objects are recognized by utilizing a number of quantization bins as features. This Abstract is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

  • Patent number: 8739585
Abstract: A wheel lock for a vehicle wheel of the type comprising a body having a central attachment flange and studs passing through it. A security plate has a front side and a rear side; the rear side has a plurality of first circumferentially spaced-apart openings arranged to receive wheel studs; each of the first circumferentially spaced-apart openings is sized to receive a lug nut threaded on a wheel stud. There is at least one second opening where the second opening also sized to receive a wheel stud. The front side has a cover over the first circumferentially spaced-apart openings preventing access to lug nuts threaded on corresponding wheel studs. The front side has a receptacle concentric with the second opening for receiving a lock lug. The lock lug has a threaded hole for engaging a wheel stud and a key recess for engagement with a corresponding key lug.
