  • Patent number: 11945517
Abstract: An assembly for a vehicle includes a front subframe having two frame rails and a control arm connector on each frame rail. The assembly includes a panel supported on the frame rails and spaced vehicle-rearward of the control arm connector. The panel extends cross-vehicle from one of the frame rails to the other of the frame rails. The panel includes a channel elongated along the vehicle-longitudinal axis. The assembly includes a vehicle component spaced vehicle-rearward of the panel. The channel is aimed at the vehicle component.

  • Patent number: 11685212
Abstract: A damping assembly for a vehicle suspension system may include a spring including a first end operably coupled to a body of a vehicle and a second end operably coupled to a wheel assembly of the vehicle, a spring isolator operably coupling the body of the vehicle to the first end of the spring, a hydraulic jounce bumper to dampen jounce forces on the vehicle, and a reinforcement member operably coupled to the hydraulic jounce bumper at a proximal end of the reinforcement member and to the spring isolator at a distal end of the reinforcement member. The reinforcement member may be integrated with the spring isolator at the distal end of the reinforcement member.

  • Publication number: 20180265142
Abstract: An active aerodynamic underbody shield system includes an underbody shield with a vent, a panel displaceable between a vent closing position and a vent opening position, an actuator to displace the panel and a controller for the actuator. The controller is configured to open the vent during vehicle braking to reduce downforce and therefore provide better lift balance adjustment for the motor vehicle. A method of reducing downforce and providing better lift balance adjustment during vehicle braking is also provided.
