  • Publication number: 20230405378
Abstract: A fire suppression apparatus (1000) comprises an enclosed hollow cylinder (1100) for containing a firefighting agent (not shown). The cylinder (1100) has a cylindrical side wall (1110) and upper and lower dome-ends (1120) and (1130), respectively. The lower end (1130) features supporting feet (1132). At the upper end (1120), an outlet valve (1122) is mounted on a neck-ring (1123) of the cylinder. The valve (1122) comprises an inlet connected to a dip-tube 1200 having a venturi device (1300). The valve itself comprises an outlet (1124). A nozzle, or distribution network to nozzle(s), (not shown) may be attached to threaded stub (1126) to direct firefighting agent during discharge.

  • Publication number: 20230219576
Abstract: A system comprises a computer including a processor and a memory. The memory includes instructions such that the processor is programmed to: predict, at a trained machine learning classifier, a target slip value based on a predicted slip slope and a predicted road texture, wherein the predicted slip slope and the predicted road texture are determined using sensor data representing tire forces and modify at least one vehicle action based on the target slip value when a confidence level value corresponding to the target slip value is greater than or equal to a confidence level threshold.

  • Publication number: 20140260417
Abstract: Systems and methods for removing heavy hydrocarbons are provided. Methods for liquefying a natural gas stream include: (a) cooling at least a portion of the natural gas stream in an upstream refrigeration cycle of a liquefaction process to produce a cooled natural gas stream; (b) separating via a first distillation column the cooled natural gas stream into a first top fraction and a first bottom fraction, wherein the first fraction does not freeze in a subsequent downstream step of the liquefaction process; (c) separating via a second distillation column the first bottom fraction into a second top fraction and a second bottom fraction, wherein the second top fraction at least a portion of a reflux stream; (d) optionally separating via a third distillation column the second bottom fraction into a third top fraction and a third bottom fraction, wherein the third top fraction forms a portion of the reflux stream; and (e) introducing the reflux stream into the first distillation column.

  • Publication number: 20050232506
Abstract: This invention provides a method of leveling an image of a non-uniform background. The method uses all or a portion of the image data from the original image and mathematical algorithms to construct a model image that reflects the non-uniform background of the original image and subtract the model image from the original image to generate an image with a more uniform background. This invention also provides computer software for performing the methods of the invention.
