  • Publication number: 20070201499
Abstract: A network infrastructure device includes a receiver operable to receive packets when operably connected to a communication network; and a processor cooperatively operable with the transceiver. The processor can receive a packet on an interface corresponding to the transceiver. Also, the processor can map the packet to one of several queues and to one of several classifications, based on an indication of priority of handling in a header in the packet and/or an indication of priority in a configuration of the interface. The processor also checks for congestion in the queues with respect to the classification of the packet, and checks for congestion in the one queue with respect to the one classification. The processor queues the packet if there is no congestion, otherwise the processor drops the packet.

  • Publication number: 20040011096
Abstract: A method of securing an ATV or any device that allows for connection with the invention. The invention, known as Sureloc, has a five axis articulating head design which allows for connection with a device in any direction. The Auger section of Sureloc allows for securing a device into the ground without assistance from other objects. This allows Sureloc to be used as a portable security device. The shaft of Sureloc has a vertical movement of approximately 6″ as an adjustment to reach various heights of different devices. The shad guide rotates 180 degrees giving Sureloc a 2′ attachment range in a 360 degree area.

  • Patent number: 6596882
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of recovering and purifying 3,4-epoxy-1-butene (epoxybutene) from an epoxidation effluent gas obtained by the vapor phase, catalytic, partial oxidation of 1,3-butadiene (butadiene) with molecular oxygen in the presence of a silver catalyst wherein the epoxybutene-laden epoxidation product gas is reacted with a water-miscible solvent to absorb the epoxybutene. The disclosed process includes a method of separating epoxybutene from the solvent and other reaction by-products by a novel combination of distillation and decantation steps.

  • Patent number: 6395913
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of recovering and purifying 3,4-epoxy-1-butene (epoxybutene) from a reaction product gas, obtained by the vapor phase catalytic partial oxidation of 1,3-butadiene with oxygen over a silver catalyst. The recovery and purification comprises absorption of the epoxybutene into a water-miscible solvent followed by separation of the absorbed epoxybutene from the absorbent by extraction into a water-immiscible solvent. • Patent number: 6182670
Abstract: A low-density filler material for cigarettes from either a low-density tobacco composition or an extruded grain or starch composition. The low-density tobacco composition and a method of making the low-density tobacco composition by extruding a mixture of tobacco and flour or tobacco and starch under conditions whereby the solvent in the extruded mixture flashes into vapor upon release from the extrusion head. The low-density tobacco composition is formed without the aid of an added binder. The low-density flour or starch material and a method of making it by extruding flour or starch with a filler material such as calcium carbonate under conditions whereby the solvent in the extruded mixture flashes into vapor upon extrusion through the orifice die. The extruded composition can then be cut and used in place of cut tobacco filler.

  • Patent number: 6167567
Abstract: A technique for automatically updating software, including but not limited to application programs, residing on, e.g., a client computer. Specifically, an update script is stored on a network server for each software product to be updated and, where appropriate, for each different country or locale in which that product will be installed. At a scheduled time, the client computer automatically, through an executing updating application: establishes a network connection to the server; constructs a file name for a file containing an appropriate update script; and then downloads that file from the server. The script contains appropriate update information, including whether the update is to occur through a web site or through the script, and if the latter, listings of operating system (O/S) specific and O/S-independent product update files.
