Abstract: A method for producing a wood grain-patterned layer on an article includes forming a primer layer directly on the surface of the article, painting a woodgrain-pattern on the primer layer, and covering the wood grain-pattern and the primer layer with a transparent wear-resistant coating. A wood grain-patterned layer and kitchen equipment having a wood grain-patterned surface are also disclosed.

Abstract: An image scanner having a driving mechanism to synchronize the movement of a transmission-mode light source and a carriage mounted therein an image pickup device is disclosed. The driving mechanism includes a driving motor and two transmission devices both connected to the driving motor. One of the transmission devices connects the carriage to the motor. The other transmission device penetrates through the scanning platform at an upper end where an upper cover and a lower housing of the scanner housing are pivotally connected to connect the transmission-mode light source to the motor. Thereby, the two transmission devices are simultaneously driven by the motor to move the carriage and the transmission-mode light source synchronously.

Abstract: A locking mechanism for fixing a carriage at a specific position automatically is provided. This locking mechanism includes a fixing device and a transmitting device. The fixing device is used for securing the carriage at the specific position, and the transmitting device is used for driving the carriage to be secured to the fixing device in a first instance and detaching the carriage from the fixing device in a second instance.

Abstract: The present invention provides a locking device for locking a scanning module in a scanner. The locking device comprises a protruding member installed on the scanning module, a C-shaped shaft sink and an elastic button installed on the bottom panel of the housing of the scanner, an recess installed at the right edge of the housing, a blocking member rotatably installed in the shaft sink for separately locking the protruding member of the scanning module, and a sliding member slidably installed in the recess for horizontally rotating the blocking member to lock or release the protruding member of the scanning module.
