  • Publication number: 20260095629
Abstract: While providing a currently-playing media item, a system presents a first user interface of a media-providing service that includes: a scrollable feed that includes a representation of a content item that includes an affordance for playing back a corresponding media item, and an indicator of the currently-playing media item. The system receives a first user input. In accordance with a determination that the first user input is directed to the affordance for playing back the corresponding media item, the system plays back the corresponding media item and updating the indicator of the currently-playing media item to indicate that the corresponding media item is the currently-playing media item; and in accordance with a determination the first user input is an input to preview the corresponding media item, the system previews the corresponding media item without updating the indicator of the currently-playing media item.

  • Publication number: 20260082108
Abstract: A device displays a feed of media items and initiates playback of a preview of a first media item. The device detects a first swipe input directed to the feed. The first swipe input is in a first direction. In response, the device displays a representation of a second media item as the next media item. The second media item is selected for the user using a machine learning model. While the representation of the second media item is displayed, the device initiates playback of a preview of the second media item. While displaying the second media item, the device detects a second swipe input in a second direction within the scrollable feed of media items distinct from the first direction. In response, the device initiates playback of a preview of a third media item, wherein the third media item is related to the second media item.

  • Patent number: 12526480
Abstract: An electronic device provides, to a user, a user-curated playlist, the user-curated playlist including an ordered set of media items that were added by the user. While providing a first media item in the ordered set of media items, the electronic device receives a first user input selecting an option to include recommended media items in the user-curated playlist. In response to the first user input, the electronic device updates the user-curated playlist to include a first recommended media item, the first recommended media item selected without user intervention based at least in part on attributes of the user-curated playlist. The first recommended media item is positioned in the user-curated playlist in between media items that were added to the ordered set of media items by the user.

  • Patent number: 12452495
Abstract: An electronic device associated with a media-providing service displays a user interface that includes a representation of a first media item. While the representation of the first media item is displayed, the electronic device initiates playback of a preview of the first media item. The electronic device further detects a first input by a user to display a representation of a second media item. Then, while the electronic device is displaying the representation of the second media item, the electronic device initiates playback of a preview of the second media item. Based on a determination that the preview of the second media item has completed playback, the electronic device plays the second media item and adds the second media item to the user's playback history without further intervention by the user.

  • Publication number: 20180365270
Abstract: A plurality of digital media to be sequentially displayed is received. An input gesture is received. A magnitude value associated with the input gesture is determined. In response to the input gesture, at least a portion of the plurality of digital media corresponding to the determined magnitude value is advanced. Based on a property of a first digital media included in the plurality of digital media, a first amount of magnitude value that corresponds to advancing the first digital media included in the plurality of digital media is determined to be larger than a different second amount of magnitude value that corresponds to advancing a second digital media included in the plurality of digital media.

  • Publication number: 20180367626
Abstract: At a device of a first user, a digital media associated with a second user is received. It is detected that the device has displayed the digital media. It is determined whether the device has displayed the digital media for at least a threshold amount of time. In an event the device has displayed the digital media for at least the threshold amount of time, an indication is provided to the first user and a notification is sent. The notification is utilized to provide to the second user, information associated with an interaction by the first user with the digital media.
