  • Publication number: 20060137656
Abstract: A fuel rail assembly with crossover conduits for communicating fuel between two fuel rails of a fuel-injected, spark ignited internal combustion engine is provided. The hose has a body with a mechanism for damping pressure pulsations within the fuel rail assembly.
    Type: Application
    Filed: January 20, 2006
    Publication date: June 29, 2006
Inventors: Michael Zdroik, Robert Doherty, Jackson Roe, Gary Handshoe

  • Patent number: 6725839
Abstract: A fuel rail is provided which includes a housing formed by a first member with a first thickness. A bracket is provided, connected to the first member to connect the fuel rail to an internal combustion engine. A second stamped member is provided and is sealably connected to the first member to form a control volume therewith. The second member has a second thickness that is materially lower than the first thickness. Accordingly, the second member has a wall to damp pulsations caused by the opening and closing of the injectors fluidly connected with the rail.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 29, 2002
Date of Patent: April 27, 2004
