Abstract: A rotary anvil construction, method of locking a die-cutting mat on such construction, and locking wedge for use with such construction and method are provided wherein the locking wedge is an immobile wedge and has locking surfaces which are adapted to have cooperating locking surfaces on flanges of a die-cutting mat of the rotary anvil construction snap-locked thereagainst.

Abstract: A printing blanket hole forming apparatus and method are provided and such apparatus has a support for supporting an end portion of a blanket thereon, a locating pin fixed to one end of the support, a template having at least one template locating hole therein and a set of openings therein associated with the one hole with the template being positioned by disposing the locating hole thereof around the pin with an end portion of a blanket supported on the support enabling forming of holes in the blanket by extending an associated hole forming device through the openings in the template and into the blanket and as determined by the openings in such template .

Abstract: Apparatus for holding an end portion of a printing blanket on an associated printing cylinder is provided and employs an elongate holding bar and bar support which cooperate to hold such end portion in position in a highly efficient manner and the apparatus has double eccentric means for quickly attaching and detaching the holding bar relative to the bar support.

Abstract: A printing blanket holding bar gage is provided and made of a flat strip having a stepped slot therein which extends inwardly from an edge thereof for receipt of a holding bar and the slot is comprised of a plurality of aligned slot portions each defined by an associated spaced pair of parallel edges having a particular perpendicular distance therebetween with the perpendicular distance between each associated spaced pair of parallel edges being less in each consecutive slot portion disposed inwardly from the edge enabling the gage to be moved into gaging relation with a holding bar and serve as a go no-go gage therefor; and, such gage also has comparators thereon for approximately the thickness of a leg of an associated holding bar brought into gaging association therewith.

Abstract: Apparatus for holding an end of a printing blanket on an associated printing cylinder is provided and employs an elongate holding bar and bar support which cooperate to prevent damage to the blanket at locations adjacent where the holding bar engages the blanket and such apparatus has means for quickly attaching and detaching the holding bar in the bar support.

Abstract: A hand portable device for fastening a holding bar on a printing blanket and method of fastening such holding bar is provided and the device employs cooperating rollers to urge portions of such holding bar in clamping engagement against opposed surfaces of the blanket.
