Abstract: A catamenial tampon having a hollow core opening onto its insert end and having radial slots at said end in communication with the hollow core; the invention also relates to the method of tampon fabrication and to a tool used in such fabrication.
Abstract: The invention relates to improvements in surgical instruments and is particularly concerned with the novel construction of an instrument for use in the dislodging and extraction of gall stones from the common bile duct irrespective of their size or degree of impactness.
Abstract: A double-duty diaper comprising a main diaper having an outer layer of water impervious material and a body contacting inner layer of moisture absorbent material and including a removable insert strip arranged on the body contacting surface of the main diaper capable of absorbing moisture and retaining loose excrement. The insert strip includes moisture proof means manipulatable to prevent lateral overflow of moisture and excrement prior to and during removal of the soiled insert strip from the main diaper. The main diaper is such that it can be used without the insert and it also includes means to cover wastes therein while being removed from the body.
Abstract: A catamenial tampon shaped to be fitted easily into the vagina and be withdrawn therefrom without discomfort notwithstanding deep radial expansion of it's insert end prior to insertion. The disclosure is also concerned with the method of fabricating one embodiment thereof.
Abstract: A double-duty diaper characterized by the inclusion of a moisture absorbent auxiliary insert strip to absorb moisture and fabricated to facilitate easy folding of the strip while the diaper is being worn so as to cover any solids prior to removing the strip from the main diaper. The strip also insures wide distribution of moisture and resists premature spill-over.
Abstract: A disposable diaper having a removable laminated supplemental insert formed with a pull tab to permit its separation from the diaper. Both the diaper and insert have means to insure spreading of any moisture deposited thereon. The insert also includes means to initially hold the margins of the diaper folded thereover.
Abstract: A double duty disposable diaper comprised of a bottom moisture impervious layer of thin material having one or more layers of absorbent material arranged thereon face to face, and a strip comprised of like layers of material centrally arranged on the absorbent layer midway between its side edges. The insert strip extends to or beyond at least one edge of said absorbent layer and is detachably secured to said layer. At least one absorbent layer of the diaper assembly may be impregnated with medication or a deodorant. The invention also embodies the method of fabricating such a diaper.
