    Abstract: An augmented reality head up display system includes an audio microphone array, a driver position tracking device, and an augmented reality head up display. The augmented reality head up display system also includes a controller in electronic communication with the audio microphone array, the driver position tracking device, and the augmented reality head up display, where the controller is programmed to: receive audio data from the audio microphone array corresponding to audio detected by the audio microphone array, classify the audio data as corresponding to an audio event occurring in an environment surrounding the vehicle, and display a graphic corresponding to the audio event on the windscreen of the vehicle using the augmented reality head up display and input from the driver position tracking device.

The systems and methods include an occupant output system including an output device, a camera or other perception device, and a processor in operable communication with the occupant output system and the camera or other perception device. The processor is configured to execute program instructions to cause the processor to: receive image or other perception data from the camera or other perception device, the image or other perception data including at least part of a head and/or body of an occupant of the vehicle, analyze the image or other perception data to determine if the occupant is of hearing and vision impaired, when the occupant is determined to be of vision and hearing impaired, decide on an output modality to assist the occupant, and generate an output for the occupant on the output device, and in the output modality.

    Abstract: An in-vehicle encryption system for use in a vehicle comprising a plurality of vehicle subsystems. The system comprises a security ECU module that communicates with a remote cryptographic module, the security ECU module comprising a processor and a per vehicle master secret (PVMS) value stored in the security ECU module. The security ECU module uses the PVMS value to authenticate with the remote cryptographic module and to establish an external encrypted communication link with the remote cryptographic module. The system further comprises a first subsystem ECU module that generates a first globally unique identifier (GUID) and a second subsystem ECU module that generates a second GUID. The security ECU module uses the first GUID value to establish a first encrypted communication link with the first subsystem ECU module.
