  • Patent number: 11219389
Abstract: A system has pressure sensors integrated with a first article of footwear worn by a test subject on a left foot, pressure sensors integrated with a second article of footwear, worn by a test subject on a right foot, positioning circuitry determining separation and direction of the first article of footwear relative to the second article of footwear, circuitry collecting readings from the first and second plurality of sensors, and from the positioning circuitry, as variables with respect to time, and communicating the readings to a computerized diagnostic apparatus. The computerized diagnostic apparatus processes the readings for a test period of time, determining gait characteristics for the test subject, including at least stride length and timing, and width of stance, and records the gait characteristics, time and date stamped, in a manner to be retrieved and displayed.

  • Patent number: 10610398
Abstract: An ankle bracing apparatus has a curved support plate shaped to fit on the medial aspect of a user's lower leg above the ankle, with a first end at the front of the user's leg and a second end at the back, a strut extending downward having a pivotal fastener near the lowermost end, a first strap wrapped around the user's leg, a second strap having a width, a first end and a second end, the second strap attached at the first end to the first end of the curved support plate and at the second end to the second end of the curved support plate, and lateral strut having a buckle or opening to accommodate the second strap, and a pivotal fastener enabling fastening of the lateral strut to the shoe or foot plate, such that adjusting the length of the second strap shortens separation of the lateral strut and the curved support plate.

  • Patent number: 7465434
Abstract: This invention describes how to modify a fibrin-binding protein, such as tPA, with a contrast agent, such as iodine. This substance could then be given to a patient suspected of having a blood clot by an intravenous route, and then detected by a radiographic study at a short pre-determined time later. Appropriate therapy is started immediately as determined by the radiographic study.
