  • Publication number: 20230404450
Abstract: A device that can warm a hand of a user and/or patient to facilitate collection of blood samples (e.g., capillary blood sample collection) is described herein. The device provides controlled amounts of heat directed to the palm of a user and/or patient to facilitate collection of high-quality capillary blood samples. The device is designed in such a way to provide a comfortable resting position for the hand that allows heating the hand of the user and/or patient while simultaneously providing access to the finger of the user and/or patient to carry out one or more steps in preparation for collection of capillary blood samples from the finger. The device will also monitor the temperature to limit the max temperature to a safe level, control the palm temperature to a desired level, and use a conductive material to enable rapid heating.

  • Patent number: 11805444
Abstract: Systems and methods relate to a Self-Organizing Network (SON) that makes changes to operating parameters for the purpose of load balancing, to increase data communication throughput and capacity. A device may determine load balancing ratios and unused throughput for a first frequency band and a second frequency band for a cell site. The device may also determine, based on the load balancing ratios and the unused throughputs, whether a load balancing procedure for the cell site should be performed to increase a traffic throughput at the cell site.

  • Patent number: 11605453
Abstract: Technologies and techniques for managing clinical images in electronic healthcare record systems are disclosed. Disclosed methods and apparatus provide indexing of captured clinical images with minimal or no user input. This is accomplished through providing the ability to set a predetermined type of patient encounter and then retrieving a clinical image of a patient from either an image capture device such as a camera in a mobile device or from a memory device. The methods and systems may also include image recognition of the clinical image to determine the type of the clinical image. Additionally, the indexing is automated, where the automated indexing is based on at least one of the predetermined type of patient encounter and the determined type of clinical image.

  • Patent number: 11526240
Abstract: An input device such as a stylus for providing input to a touch-sensitive surface with reduced sensitivity to leakage current variations over temperature is disclosed. A passive stylus may include one or more diodes in parallel with one or more bleed resistors. The non-linear load of the diode and resistor network can be operative to provide a stylus electric field in response to a stimulation signal from an electronic device that can be capacitively coupled to, and sensed by, the electronic device. The signal sensed by the electronic device can be a function of the total leakage current, which can vary greatly as a function of temperature and frequency. In order to improve performance, the diode and resistor network, including the bleed resistor(s) and diodes within that network, can be selected and/or designed to provide a reduced variation in the leakage current and more accurate stylus detection.

  • Publication number: 20220095443
Abstract: An electrostatic discharge (ESD) robust design for an input device such as a stylus is disclosed. The input device can include one or more components, such as one or more Schottky diodes, that can be damaged by ESD events. To reduce the likelihood of damage to sensitive components, the parasitic capacitance between sensitive conductive paths and reference ground paths of the input device that could otherwise provide electrostatic discharge paths can be reduced (arranging current limiting resistance at specific locations among sensitive components, creating physical separation between sensitive conductive paths and reference ground paths), shielding can be added to shield the sensitive electronics from ESD pulses, and high dielectric breakdown material can be added to prevent ESD pulse entry or exit of not otherwise protected circuit parts.

  • Patent number: 11274822
Abstract: A lighting device assembly includes a light source and an optic attached to a first heat sink member, a second heat sink member connected in thermal communication with the first heat sink member, and an aperture member connected to the second heat sink member. The aperture member has an inner surface having steps surrounding a light exit opening to reduce a thickness dimension. The edge of the light exit opening is angled radially outward toward its light exit side. A third heat sink member is connected in thermal communication with the second heat sink member, and has a plurality of openings to receive one or more plaster materials. The third heat sink member has a first region and a second region at least partially surrounding the first region, the second region has a reduced heat conduction capability relative to the first region, to inhibit a transfer of heat to the outer perimeter of the body of the further heat sink member.

  • Publication number: 20210216976
Abstract: Systems and methods for receiving customer payment details and generating outgoing payment details on-demand. A network-connected interface can receive customer payment details for payment of an incoming amount. A data store can store a plurality of transaction tracking records including a unique key code and an allocatable amount. A payment gateway can receive authorization data for payment of the incoming amount. An outgoing payment generator can respond to an outgoing payment request comprising an offered key code and an outgoing payment amount if the offered key code matches an existing transaction tracking record in the data store. Outgoing payment details can be generated if the outgoing amount is less than or equal to the allocatable amount. Embodiments can route the transaction such that the customer payment details are passed through to the supplier. Embodiments can make routing and generation decisions based on transaction preferences.
