  • Publication number: 20210065901
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of determining a condition of a subject based on Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in a gaseous phase, originating from the subject. The method may include: receiving from one or more sensors a set of sensor signals in response to exposing the one or more sensors to a sample of the VOCs; extracting one or more feature values from the set of sensor signals; receiving a classification model, trained to classify samples of VOCs based on the one or more extracted feature values correlated to one or more condition of the subject; associating the one or more extracted features received from the set of sensor signals with one or more classes of the classification model; and determining the condition of the subject based on the association.

  • Publication number: 20160325058
Abstract: Example techniques and systems include managing delivery of a substance into an inhaled stream of air from a patient. For example, a system may include a housing configured to accept a medication canister containing a medication, the housing comprising a dispensing portion, a sensor configured to sense air flow within the dispensing portion, and a processor configured to transmit a signal indicative of the sensed air flow, wherein information associated with use of the pulmonary medication dosing device is generated by the computing device and based on the transmitted signal.

  • Patent number: 8700130
Abstract: Apparatus is provided, including a sensor for sensing a phase of cyclic activity of a subject's body system. A tool modulator includes a gate configured: in a first cycle of the cyclic activity, to allow movement of a tool, in response to the cyclic activity being at a first given phase thereof, following the given phase in the first cycle and prior to an occurrence of the given phase in a subsequent cycle of the cyclic activity, to inhibit the movement of the tool, and in a second cycle of the cyclic activity, subsequent to the inhibiting of the movement, to allow movement of the tool, in response to the second cycle of the cyclic activity being at the given phase thereof. An accumulation facilitator facilitates an accumulation of the tool in the tool modulator, and/or an accumulation of energy in the tool.

  • Publication number: 20120230565
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are described for use with an image of blood vessels of a subject. In response to a user designating a single point on the image (a) a target portion of a blood vessel is automatically identified in the vicinity of the designated point, and (b) quantitative vessel analysis is performed on the target portion of the blood vessel. An output is generated based upon the quantitative vessel analysis. Other embodiments are also described.

  • Publication number: 20100228076
Abstract: Apparatus is described including a sensor that senses a phase of cyclic motion of a portion of a subject's body. During a first phase of a first cycle of the cyclic motion, a tool modulator does not to facilitate movement of a tool with respect to the portion. Subsequent to the first phase, in response to the sensor sensing that the first cycle is at a second phase thereof, the modulator facilitates movement of the tool. In a cycle subsequent to the first cycle, the modulator facilitates movement of the tool, during the entire subsequent cycle. During the first phase of the first cycle, an accumulation-facilitator facilitates an accumulation of energy in the accumulation-facilitator. An accumulation-inhibitor inhibits accumulation of energy in the accumulation-facilitator during the subsequent cycle, by actively inhibiting movement of at least a portion of the accumulation-facilitator. Other embodiments are also described.
