  • Patent number: 11967356
Abstract: An example apparatus may perform concurrent threshold voltage compensation in a memory array with distributed row redundancy. The example apparatus may include a memory cell array having a mat having a plurality of row sections that each include respective prime memory cell rows and a respective redundant memory cell row. The example apparatus may further include a row decoder configured to receive an access command and a prime row address. The row decoder may be configured to, in response to a determination that the prime row address matches a defective prime row address, concurrently initiate a threshold voltage compensation operation on both of a prime row of the respective plurality of prime rows of memory cells of a first row section of the plurality of row sections corresponding to the prime row address and the respective redundant row of a second row section of the plurality of row sections.

  • Patent number: 10859823
Abstract: A virtual-reality device includes a data generator, one or more processors, two or more gamma bands, and a display. The virtual-reality device generates initial color values for each of the plurality of pixels, and determines a respective gray-level value for each of the pixels according to the generated color values. The device selects, for each of the pixels, a respective gamma band corresponding to the determined respective gray-level value and one or more respective contextual markers, where each gamma band has a distinct luminance target. The virtual-reality device then adjusts the luminance level of each pixel according to the respective selected gamma band and displays the pixels according to the adjusted luminance levels.

  • Patent number: 10181278
Abstract: The description relates to display devices. One example can receive a first frame rendering that expresses color content with a defined number of bits that convey a set of color states that correspond to a first range of voltages for driving light emitting diodes (LEDs) of a display. The example can obtain information about degradation of the LEDs of the display. The example can also combine the defined number of bits that express the color content with additional degradation compensation overdrive bits relating to compensating for the degradation of the LEDs of the display. The example can map the combined defined number of bits and the additional degradation compensation overdrive bits to a second range of voltages for driving the display where individual values of the second range exceed the first range.
