  • Publication number: 20110022073
Abstract: Apparatus is provided for use with a subject's body, vagina, vaginal fornix, uterus, and uterine artery. A fornix-engaging structure is inserted into the vagina and engages the vaginal fornix. A rod is inserted into the subject's body via the fornix-engaging structure, such that a distal end of the rod passes through vaginal tissue at a first vaginal site until the distal end of the rod is at a first extrauterine site outside of the uterine artery, but in a vicinity of a portion of the uterine artery that supplies a uterine fibroid. A rod-guide is coupled to the fornix-engaging structure, and guides the distal end of the rod to the first extrauterine site. A uterine artery compression device is disposed on the distal end of the rod. Other embodiments are also described.

  • Publication number: 20090255738
Abstract: A towing device for towing of a carrier that enables carrying at least one user, wherein the user drives and steers the towing device, includes a front part and at least one steering-element. The front part of the towing device includes a motor and engagement-means wherein the motor is operatively associated with the engagement-means and the engagement-means allow driving the towing device upon a road. The at least one steering-element is operatively coupled to the front part of the towing device in a rotatable manner, enabling to operate and control the motor and to change the angular position of the front part in relation to the at least one steering-element thereby to turn the towed carrier angularly, in relation to the front part.

  • Publication number: 20020166337
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a multi-stone setting for receiving four substantially triangular-shaped gemstones or diamonds in the round setting. The multi-stone round setting includes a prong assembly having four prong members; and one or more curved side rail members connected to the four prong members to form a round-shaped setting. The multi-stone round setting also includes a first center crossbar member connected at the ends thereof to two opposed curved side rail members and a second center crossbar member being perpendicular to the first center crossbar member; wherein the second center crossbar member is connected at the ends thereof to the other two opposed curved side rail members for forming four seating areas. The first center crossbar member includes first and second retaining edge insert members. The four seating areas are each used for receiving one of the four gemstones or diamonds therein.
