  • Publication number: 20220238181
Abstract: A system for selecting CRISPR guides for knocking out one or more target genes in a target cell from a multiplicity of candidate guides comprises a memory and a processor. The processor determines whether the candidate guide meets a plurality of thresholds. The thresholds are associated with: a transcript support level; targeting a consensus sequence of a target gene; which exon of the target gene is targeted; targeting of a primary transcript, targeting of a common isoform; a precomputed prediction of editing outcomes; mapping to an expressed sequence; fraction of gene expression attributable to targeted transcripts; a common SNP overlap threshold; which exon of the target gene is targeted; overlap of a selected guide; predicted frameshift percentage; maximum and minimum GC content; off target score; where a coding sequence is targeted. In response to meeting the thresholds, the processor selects the candidate guide as a selected CRISPR guide.

  • Patent number: 4194888
Abstract: An electrostatic precipitator having an inner electrode extending along the axis of a tubular outer electrode. The inner electrode includes an elongated support electrode connected to a disc shaped discharge electrode having a transverse dimension larger than the transverse dimension of the support electrode. A high potential applied between the outer electrode and the support and discharge electrodes produces a relatively thin, radially and circumferentially uniform electrostatic field between the discharge electrode and the outer electrode, and a non-corona producing electric field between the support electrode and the outer electrode. A particle entrained gas is directed into the outer electrode at the discharge electrode end. The particles are charged by the thin, intense electrostatic field adjacent the discharge electrode, and are subsequently accelerated toward the outer electrode by the electric field extending between the support electrode and the outer electrode.

  • Patent number: 3990871
Abstract: A gas flow regulator disposed within a gas flow path and having integral baffling means thereon to deflect such a gas flow transversely of the direction of the gas flow in a manner to provide a uniform gas distribution where there is a change in cross-sectional areas of the gas flow path. Furthermore, the regulator of the present invention includes valve means thereon to further regulate the gas flow. The gas flow regulator is particularly applicable to dust collecting assemblies, such as electrostatic precipitators.
