    Abstract: An apparatus for cutting indicia from tape. A pair of rollers provided, each with an axis, first and second ends and roller surfaces. Support plates are included for supporting the second ends. Support plates are also included for supporting the first ends whereby the pair of rollers are oriented with the roller surfaces beside each other with parallel axes. The support plates comprise curved spring means having ends for biasing the roller surfaces together with respect to each other and a plate adjuster for separating the ends and for counteracting the biasing of the rollers. A die plate guide may be provided for guiding the die plates used to form the indicia. Tape pullback may also be provided for negative interletter spacing.

    Abstract: A cartridge for dispensing tape to be lettered in a first direction out of the cartridge includes a cartridge frame. The cartridge frame supports the tape and guides the tape. The cartridge includes posts fixed to the frame for supporting a roll of tape and for contacting an interior surface of a roll of tape. The cartridge frame further includes a tape guide. A tape bias mechanism such as a spring and pad is mounted in the cartridge frame for biasing the tape in a second direction substantially opposite the first direction.

    Abstract: A deflector assembly for a spray gun includes a mounting collar and a pivotable deflector blade. The mounting collar has a plurality of locking tines, or fingers, for permanent snap engagement about a spray nozzle. The mounting collar further includes a support tube with a pivotable groove on an upper surface and a pair of locking detents on a lower surface. The mounting collar is rotatable about the spray nozzle. The deflector blade comprises a locking retainer having a pivotal shoulder of a complementary shape to that of the pivotal groove of the mounting collar. The deflecting blade further includes a camming or prong lock capable of interengaging with the locking detents on the mounting collar. The deflector blade includes a plate member extending from the locking retainer having a planar impact surface on one side and a serrated surface on the other.
