  • Publication number: 20140296947
Abstract: A warming therapy device including a system for controlling the temperature within an enclosure is provided. The method comprises measuring the temperature of air at a predetermined location inside the enclosure. The method further comprises measuring the humidity inside the enclosure. In addition, the method comprises determining a correction factor to apply to the measured temperature based on the measured humidity. Also, the method includes applying a correction factor to the measured temperature to determine an corrected temperature. The method further includes adjusting the temperature of the air inside the enclosure based on the correction factor.

  • Publication number: 20130303834
Abstract: An apparatus and method for performing warming therapy is described. In one exemplary embodiment, the apparatus includes a base for supporting a medical patient and a duct cover removably coupled to the base. The duct cover may include first and second portions which cooperate with one another to form an air flow trench between a humidifier module and a fan unit. The duct cover operates to direct humidified air from the humidifier module directly to the fan unit, so that excess moisture around the apparatus is minimized.

  • Patent number: 7472700
Abstract: An adapter for use on an anesthesia machine having of three or more vaporizer units removably mounted thereon by an interlock/exclusion system. The interlock/exclusion system includes plural vertically oriented pins that are coupled together and are operative to move upward to prevent opening of any vaporizer units if one is open. One of the vaporizer units includes a horizontally oriented pin which moves outward when that unit is opened. The adaptor is arranged to mount that vaporizer on the machine and to couple the horizontally oriented pin to an associated vertically oriented pin of the interlock/exclusion system.
