  • Publication number: 20240083001
Abstract: A bolt tensioning tool includes a housing, an electric motor positioned within the housing, a tensioning assembly connectable to a bolt for applying tension thereto, and a bolt tension monitoring system. The bolt has a threaded portion and a surface. The bolt tension monitoring system includes a transmitter, a receiver, a sensor housing, and a controller. The sensor housing has an inner wall defining a recess that receives the surface of the bolt. The controller determines a dimension of the bold during a tensioning operation and determines the tension in the bolt based on the dimension. The bolt tension monitoring system monitors the tension of the bolt during a tensioning operation. The tension assembly applies tension to the bolt during the tensioning operation.

  • Publication number: 20180002821
Abstract: A composition for inhibiting corrosion of a metal is provided. The corrosion inhibitor composition comprises 5-amino-2-mercaptobenzimidazole. The corrosion inhibitor composition can also comprise a 2-mercaptobenzimidazole derivative selected from the group consisting of 2-mercapto-5-methylbenzimidazole, 5-Ethoxy-2-mercaptobenzimidazole, 5-(difluoromethoxy)-2-mercapto-1H-benzimidazole 1-Methyl-1H-benzimidazole-2-thiol and 2-mercapto-5-nitrobenzimidazole. The corrosion inhibitor composition outperforms many other sulfur-containing corrosion inhibitors in kettle testing.

  • Patent number: 9138418
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention pertain to therapeutic compositions that comprise: (1) an active agent (e.g., paclitaxel); and (2) a nanoparticle (e.g., gold nanoparticle). In such embodiments, the active agent is covalently linked to the nanoparticle through a cleavable linker (e.g., a linker containing a hydrazone species). Other embodiments of the present invention pertain to methods of treating a condition in a subject by administering the above-described therapeutic compositions to the subject.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 9, 2010
Date of Patent: September 22, 2015
