  • Patent number: 4703570
Abstract: A product identification and display tag for use in connection with a product-suspending hook extending substantially horizontally from a support surface. The tag comprises first and second parts. The first part has a mounting portion for attachment to the hook adjacent the support surface, and an elongate portion extending from the mounting portion for overlying the hook. The second part of the tag comprises a display portion for hanging vertically at the forward end of the hook to receive a product information and identification label or the like. The second part of the tag is releasably attached to the first part by male and female connector elements so that when a label is to be replaced, with second part of the tag can be removed and replaced with another second part having a new label, thereby avoiding the need to replace the tag as a whole.

  • Patent number: 4671002
Abstract: An elongate product identification tag for displaying merchandise data forwardly of a horizontally extending hook on which the merchandise is suspended, has a mounting portion of specialized form for use in securing the tag in a channel on a support panel to which the hook is attached via a bracket with an upper portion in the form of an inverted U which fits over the forward web of the channel. The mounting portion of the tag is shaped as a wedge for fitting in the channel behind the bracket portion and has a projection in a forward surface thereof against which a lower edge of the bracket engages to stabilize the tag in the channel and prevent its withdrawal until the hook is removed.

  • Patent number: 4525944
Abstract: An improved forwardly-extending product information tag, formed in a plastic sheet, is provided with a retainer aperture to receive the distal end of a merchandise support hook and thereby preclude transverse flexure and mispositioning of the tag. The tag includes a three-section mounting portion in which one of the sections can be folded in either of two directions to permit the tag to be mounted on different style support hooks which project from an apertured board.

  • Patent number: 4485575
Abstract: A price channel flag clip supports a display flag or sheet generally perpendicular to a merchandise display shelf. The clip is made from a resilient diecut plastic sheet which is flexed about its longitudinal centerline when supported in the price channel. A primary slit defined in the sheet extends generally perpendicular to the centerline between two through holes in the sheet. A secondary slit extends from each hole to define a flap having one side of the primary slit as its forward edge. The flap is flexible in and out of the plane of the sheet and its leading edge remains unflexed relative to the second side of the primary slit. To insert a display flag, the flap is flexed rearwardly of the channel-supported and flexed sheet to separate the sides of the primary slit. The flag is inserted edge-first into the primary slit, all the way to the through holes, and the flap is released so that the edges of the primary slit engage the flag therebetween.
