  • Publication number: 20260200122
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a lubrication monitoring system configured to monitor a supply of lubricant in a hand-held cutting tool having a cutting unit. A lubricant tank and a conduit are configured to duct a flow of lubricant from the tank to the cutting unit. The lubrication monitoring system comprises a heating element and a sensor arrangement, the heating element being configured to heat the lubricant flow. The sensor arrangement comprises a first sensor located at the flow, upstream of the heating element, and a second sensor located at said flow, downstream of the heating element. The lubrication monitoring system outputs a monitoring signal based on a sensed temperature difference between the first and second sensors.

  • Patent number: 12589517
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a lubrication monitoring system (15) configured to monitor a supply of lubricant in a hand-held cutting tool (1) having a cutting unit (3, 5). A lubricant tank (41) and a conduit (45) are configured to duct a flow of lubricant from the tank (41) to the cutting unit (3, 5). The lubrication monitoring system (15) comprises a heating element (29) and a sensor arrangement (31, 33), the heating element (29) being configured to heat the lubricant flow. The sensor arrangement comprises a first sensor (31) located at the flow, upstream of the heating element (29), and a second sensor (33) located at said flow, downstream of the heating element. The lubrication monitoring system outputs a monitoring signal based on a sensed temperature difference between the first and second sensors (31, 33).

  • Publication number: 20250100173
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a battery-powered chainsaw (1) comprising a cutting tool in the form of a saw chain (4) running on a guide bar, a front handle (7) at least partially extending transverse to the elongation of the guide bar and a rear handle (5) extending, at least partially, approximately in the elongated direction of the guide bar. A battery-operated heating unit comprising a first heating element (15) in the rear handle, a second heating element (13) in the front handle, and a temperature sensor (17) located in either of the rear or front handle. The heating unit (19) is configured to provide power to the first and second heating element based on a reading from the temperature sensor (17). Upon activation, a temporary power boost is provided to the first and second heating elements and subsequently a steady state power, lower than the power of the power boost.

  • Publication number: 20240367336
Abstract: A handheld power tool (1) is disclosed comprising a tool (30) and an engine (10) configured to power the tool (30). The power tool (1) comprises a handle portion (4) and an engine portion (6) resiliently suspended to the handle portion (4). The power tool (1) has a void space (12, 12?) between the handle portion (4) and the engine portion (6) extending along a separation plane (Sp). The separation plane (Sp) is transversal to a horizontal centre plane (Hcp) and to a vertical centre plane (Vcp) of the power tool (1). The power tool (1) comprises a control device (28) mounted to the handheld power tool (1) such that the angle (a1) between the separation plane (Sp) and one of two larger sides (s1, s1?) of the control device (28) is less than 35 degrees or is less than 25 degrees.
