Publication number: 20230369843Abstract: A cable spacer for maintaining positions of a plurality of cables relative to each other is provided. The cable spacer includes a frame, a hanger and a plurality of clamps that couple the plurality of cables to the frame to maintain the positions of the plurality of cables relative to each other. A first clamp includes a receiver with a first arcuate surface, and a keeper that is adjustably coupled to the receiver to be adjusted from a first position to a second position to interfere with removal of the region of the first cable from the first concave pocket. A locking system adjusts the keeper from the first position to the second position relative to the receiver, and maintains the keeper in the second position to exert a compressive force on the first cable, urging the first cable into the first concave pocket.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2023Publication date: November 16, 2023Inventors: Benjamin Franklin CIESIELCZYK, Jacob Palmer, Cameron Clines

Patent number: 11686290Abstract: A lift system for a rotor blade of a wind turbine includes a lifting device having a structural frame body having a root end and a tip end. The root end supports a root cradle and the tip end supports a tip cradle. The root and tip cradles each have a profile that corresponds to at least one exterior surface of the rotor blade so as to receive and support at least a portion of the rotor blade. Due to a shape of the rotor blade, when the rotor blade is installed in the lifting device and lifted uptower, the rotor blade can experience an asymmetric loading. Accordingly, the lift system also includes a variable airflow assembly coupled to tip end of the lifting device. The variable airflow assembly includes at least one surface moveable between a plurality of positions having varying resistances so as to counteract the asymmetric loading.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2020Date of Patent: June 27, 2023Assignee: General Electric CompanyInventors: Ulrich Werner Neumann, Molly Christine Stieber, Emily Jacob Palmer, Joseph Lawrence Chacon, Ravi Chandra Kamarajugadda

Patent number: 10196314Abstract: Multi-step milling processes to prepare cBN composite powder forms a first powder mixture by adding a binder and a first cBN component, mills the first powder mixture for a first time period, combines a second cBN component with the milled first powder mixture to form a second powder mixture, and mills the second powder mixture for a second time period (less than the first time period) to form the cBN composite powder. A ratio of the D50 value of the second cBN component to the D50 value of the first cBN component is at least 3.0. Two-step milling with different milling times for the two cBN component fractions controls the amount of mill debris in the cBN composite powder mixture. Further processing of the cBN composite powder under HPHT conditions forms a cBN-based ceramic with an average value of a cBN particle free diameter of less than 2.0 microns.Type: GrantFiled: November 18, 2015Date of Patent: February 5, 2019Assignee: Diamond Innovations, Inc.Inventors: Jacob Palmer, Lawrence Dues, Rui Shao, Gerold Weinl
