  • Publication number: 20220203841
Abstract: The technology relates to managing nighttime power for solar-powered vehicles. A system may include a sunrise estimator for estimating a time until a next sunrise, a battery state estimator for estimating a battery state, a critical battery estimator for determining a battery threshold, below which subsystems may be powered off, and an alert monitor to determine, and communicate to the solar-powered vehicle, a charge threshold and a restart charge threshold. A method may include operating a vehicle in an operational power mode, estimating a time until a next sunrise, estimating a battery state, determining a preservation battery threshold based on the estimated time until the next sunrise and the estimated battery state, determining a minimum charge threshold based on the preservation battery threshold, monitoring a battery charge level of the vehicle throughout the night, and if the battery charge level drops below the minimum charge threshold, implementing a preservation power mode.

  • Publication number: 20210390690
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for identifying one or more invalid images characterizing the brain of a patient. One of the methods includes obtaining a data object comprising one or more images characterizing a brain of a patient; processing the data object to determine one or more particular images that are invalid; and providing, for display to a user on a graphical interface, data characterizing i) each particular image and ii) a respective reason that each particular image is invalid selected from a set of possible reasons that an image may be invalid.

  • Publication number: 20210101667
Abstract: A system for controlling an aerial vehicle includes an aerial vehicle, a ballast coupled to the aerial vehicle, a server including a processor and a memory, and a wireless communication link that communicatively couples the aerial vehicle and the server. the memory stores instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the server to receive weather data, determine, based on the weather data, that the aerial vehicle is experiencing, or is expected to experience, weather that satisfies a predetermined criterion, and cause the aerial vehicle to decouple at least a portion of the ballast based on a result of the determination.
