At least one universal colorant composition includes one or more modified polyether dispersants with one or more pigment affinic groups, which wet, disperse, and stabilize the disperse included pigments. The system allows tinting both water-borne and solvent-borne base paints and stains with low viscosity drop and excellent compatibility.
