  • Publication number: 20210261135
Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring vehicle occupants using infrared and other sensors are disclosed. The systems may use infrared sensor data to identify each vehicle occupant using biometric signatures (such as heartbeat or facial recognition). Vehicle occupant characteristics may be determined that include skeletal characteristics of the occupants. Further monitoring of the occupants using sensor data may occur until an abnormal situation is detected. Abnormal situations may include medical emergencies, driver impairment, security threats, or similar situations requiring correcting action. The system may then determine and implement an appropriate response to the abnormal situation. Such responses may include generating alerts, adjusting vehicle environmental controls, taking control of operation of the vehicle (such as an autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle), or initiating wireless communication with an outside party, such as an emergency service.

  • Publication number: 20060018329
Abstract: A network switching system includes transceiver devices respectively provided for a plurality of input line cards. The switching system also includes transceiver devices respective provided for a plurality of output line cards. The switching system further includes a switch device communicatively coupled to each of the plurality of input line cards and the plurality of output line cards. The switch device includes a crosspoint matrix for communicatively connecting one of the input line cards to one of the output line cards. The switch device is capable of operating in either a crosspoint mode for routing cells or packets from one of the input line cards to one of the output line cards, or a scheduler mode for controlling flow of cells and/or packets through at least one other switch device.

  • Patent number: 6909713
Abstract: A method and apparatus for receiving data having an address at a network switch having at least one protocol processor, and hashing at least part of the address to obtain an identifier of a protocol processor in the switch. Source address preservation may be used so that data transfers between server and client may be distributed to the same protocol processor in a switch or web appliance by hashing the same address regardless of which header field the address resides in.

  • Patent number: 6687715
Abstract: A key lookup system to look up keys associated with a plurality of frames of data includes a key source device that provides source keys to the system. A memory stores data keys and data associated therewith. A plurality of lookup engines searches for the data keys in the memory that are identical to the source keys. A Content Addressable Memory (CAM) stores a copy of a source key being searched for by one of the plurality of lookup engines. A CAM check device to determine whether a key identical to the source key is located in the CAM. A key insertion device copies the source key into the CAM and into one of the plurality of lookup engines if the key identical to the source key is not found in the CAM.

  • Patent number: 6598133
Abstract: A memory template initialization system includes a first memory device to store a first memory template. The system also includes a second memory device to store a second memory template, and a dirty bit array to track changes to the second memory template. A processing unit serves to copy a portion of the first memory template into the second memory template based on contents of the dirty bit array.
