  • Publication number: 20240033547
Abstract: An anchor assembly, or mounting for an anchor assembly, particularly for a fall protection apparatus, has first and second mounting limbs connected to be rotatably mounted with respect to one another in order to rotate such that the limbs can be fixed in position at one of a variety of operational positions. The limbs have concentric engagement portions arranged to engage one another in order to permit rotation of the limbs about the rotation axis and inhibiting relative displacement of the limbs in a direction transverse to the rotational axis.

  • Publication number: 20230249014
Abstract: A clamp for use with a cable or safety includes a receiving member and a jamming member configured to move relative to the receiving member. In use, an end of the safety line is looped around the jamming member. The clamp further may include an actuator, which is adjustable to reconfigure the clamp between: an unlocked state, wherein in the unlocked state the safety line can be moved through the clamp, and a locked state, wherein in the locked state the jamming member is urged into the receiving member. The safety line is thus clamped between the jamming member and at least a portion of the receiving member. The actuator may be a handle and the position of the handle may be manually adjustable. The clamp may include at least one indicator to provide a visual indication of the state of the clamp.

  • Publication number: 20230226389
Abstract: A case or support cradle for a fall arrest device has a shape or configuration enabling rolling of the case or cradle along an arcuate path. The rollable case or cradle allows the fall arrest device received therein to smoothly follow a user's movements around a work site, thereby protecting the device from damage due to dragging or scraping along a floor surface.

  • Publication number: 20230166137
Abstract: A safety line anchor device with a first component, the first component having a connection part at first end and a gripping element at a second end, a second component, the second component having a first opposed end portion, a second end portion, and a pin fixed in position and protruding from the second component, and the first component is slidably mounted to the second component and the gripping element separates the first opposed end portion and the second end portion.

  • Patent number: 11638843
Abstract: A case or support cradle (10) for a fall arrest device has a shape or configuration enabling rolling of the case or cradle (10) along an arcuate path. The rollable case or cradle (10) allows the fall arrest device received therein to smoothly follow a user's movements around a work site, thereby protecting the device from damage due to dragging or scraping along a floor surface.

  • Publication number: 20230109537
Abstract: An energy absorber (10) for use in a fall arrest system includes an elongate member (11) having a proximal end (14), a distal end (12), and a line of weakness (15, 16) extending in a longitudinal direction (A) along at least a portion of the elongate member between the proximal end (14) and the distal end (12). The line of weakness (15, 16) is at least partially non-linear. In response to application of a predetermined force, the elongate member (11) is configured to tear along the line of weakness (15, 16), thereby at least partially absorbing energy of a user's fall.

  • Publication number: 20220152436
Abstract: A safety line traveller (1) for a fall protection system has a first component (2) in sliding engagement with a safety line (40), and a second component (3) which hinders sliding contact of the traveller with the safety line (40). The first and second components (2,3) are normally held in a sliding configuration in which the second component (3) is spaced from the safety line (40) and the first component (2) provides sliding contact with the safety line. The first and second components (2,3) are reconfigurable to an alternative configuration in which the second component (3) engages with the safety line (40) in order to hinder sliding of the traveller (1) on the safety line (40).
