Abstract: A form-fitting or conformal load carrying pallet for aircraft to improve the load carrying capacity of aircraft where the load may be fuel, electronic gear, aerial photography equipment or other items. The pallet is arranged for rapid installation and removal from a position against the side of the fuselage so that there is little or no adverse effect on the aircraft weight distribution, so the wetted area of the fuselage is not appreciably increased, so that the effect on aerodynamic characteristics is minimized, and so the pallet does not become a structural part of the aircraft.
