  • Publication number: 20260098638
Abstract: A combustion liner v-band includes a louver segment having an arcuate member, an array of scoops, and outlet openings. The arcuate member includes an interior wall and side walls extending partially circumferentially about a centerline axis of the combustor to bound a channel that is open at a radial outer boundary of the arcuate member. The scoops extend from the interior wall. The outlet openings extend through the interior wall and the scoops to place the channel in fluid communication with a region exterior to the louver segment. Each outlet opening extends along a discharge axis that has a nonzero axial angle component and a nonzero circumferential angle component.

  • Patent number: 12553608
Abstract: A v-band ring and a combustor incorporating the same includes a monolithic body extending circumferentially entirely about an axis and extending axially parallel to the axis from ends of the v-band ring. The monolithic body includes an inner surface that faces inward towards the axis and extends between ends of the v-band. The inner surface includes a convergent frustoconical segment, a convex segment, and a divergent frustoconical segment that form a V-shaped cross-section of the monolithic body with a rounded vertex.

  • Patent number: 11319266
Abstract: A method is provided for using twisted acenes, and more particularly to configurationally stable twisted acenes that are imbedded into the structure of [7]helicene at the fulcrum ring to form useable material structures. The helicene propagates its chiral nature into the acene, while acting as a locking mechanism to thermal racemization. These doubly-helical compounds are part of a new homologous series of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, namely the [7]helitwistacenes. Such [7]helitwistacenes have utility as materials suitable for forming a circularly polarized organic light emitting diode (CP-OLED) for direct emission of circularly polarized (CP) light for the fabrication of high efficiency electronic displays.
