  • Publication number: 20080062891
Abstract: Certain exemplary embodiments comprise a method, which can comprise providing a preferred route for a predetermined block of traffic to a router. The predetermined block of traffic can be destined for a predetermined destination. The predetermined destination can be coupled to a network via a plurality of routers. The preferred route can be adapted to override an initial route.

  • Patent number: 6993353
Abstract: A method for sending data from a transmit site to a receive site which includes dividing a transmit data stream having a first bit rate into multiple data streams with each of the multiple data streams having a bit rate which is lower than the first bit rate, transmitting each of the multiple data streams over a plurality of RF channels and recombining the multiple data streams at the receive site to provide a receive data stream having a bit rate equal to the first bit rate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 8, 2001
Date of Patent: January 31, 2006
    Assignee: AT&T Corp.

  • Patent number: 6993050
Abstract: A transmit and receive system for transmitting data between a transmit site and a receive site. The system includes a tunnel source, router and modulator for dividing a transmit data stream having a first bit rate into multiple data streams with each of the multiple data streams having a bit rate which is lower than the first bit rate, transmitting each of the multiple data streams over a plurality of RF channels. The system further includes a demodulator and destination source for recombining the multiple data streams at the receive site to provide a receive data stream having a bit rate equal to the first bit rate.

  • Publication number: 20020124262
Abstract: A network based video replay service utilizing broadband technologies on the internet. A replacement for current analog or digital TV offerings that offer the same quality and user experience. The capacity used by current offerings (e.g. on a cable access network) will be freed up for use by the new service. The current schedule based broadcast paradigm users are accustomed to is emulated while at the same time offering on-demand viewing based on personal preference or subscription profile. This hybrid offering can lead to bandwidth savings in the access network with interaction of this service with other services on a common packet based infrastructure.
