Abstract: A method cycle of a method for layerwise production of a tangible object (5) comprises the steps of: —solidifying a predetermined area of a layer (10) of a liquid (3) when said liquid layer (10) is adjoining a construction shape, so as to obtain a solid layer (14) of the tangible object (5); —separating said solid layer from said construction shape; and —moving, relative to one another, the separated solid layer and the construction shape to a predetermined position relative to one another for carrying out a successive such method cycle, so as to obtain a successive such solid layer adhered to the solid layer. For at least one of said method cycles, said solidifying and said separating are carried out such that solidifying of certain parts of the layer (14) takes place simultaneously with separating of other, already solidified parts of the layer.

Abstract: A scanner and a method of scanning an image on an original includes an optical sensor having sensor elements for each of three basic colors that is used to generate pixel values of the scanned image. Each pixel value represents an optical density of a pixel of the image and is generated mainly on the basis of a signal of only one of the sensor elements. Each of the sensor elements for each of the basic colors is used to generate pixel values representing substantially different parts of the image.

The inner surface (15) of the display window (3) may be substantially flat or it may be curved with a curvature smaller than the curvature of the shadow mask (13). The distance Qp from the shadow mask (13) to the screen (6) at the inner surface (15) of the display window (3) of the color display tube (1) according to the invention is larger by a positive integer, not being a multiple of three, for all positions p on the screen (6) than this distance Q0p in prior art tubes.
