Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for providing suggested files in relation to a calendar event. An electronic device receives an input related to the calendar event. Calendar event information, such as attendees, subject, and the date, are obtained. A search is performed for files related to the calendar event information. The related files can be ordered or ranked according to confidence values. The files are then displayed as suggestions. Links between suggested files and the calendar event are also formed.

For example, calendar event items may be viewed in an “agenda” view. A calendar event item may have a date and include any information relating to a corresponding calendar event. According to some example embodiments, a list of calendar event items and a list of dates are each displayed in a navigable format. The list of dates may include at least dates in a date range defined by the dates of the calendar event items. A navigation position of the list of calendar event items and a navigation position of the list of dates may be coordinated.

For example, the second entity is displayed.

Abstract: The present document describes a system and method of managing and viewing calendar data. Calendar data may include, for each of a plurality of calendar events, data items indicating at least a date of the event. According to some example embodiments, a visual indicator is displayed for each date in a date range. The visual indicator may be generated as a function of the number of events or the duration of time of events for the day. The visual indicator may include a font size and/or bold type of a numerical day displayed. Thus, in some example embodiments, the size and bold type of the numerical day may indicate to a user the relative activity level of the individual days of the date range. The visual indicator may also indicate a conflict between scheduled events.

Abstract: A method and a system are provided for displaying a character on an electronic device. The method includes displaying a multi-segment display on a touch-sensitive display. A touch gesture is detected over the multi-segment display. The electronic device activates segments of the multi-segment display that correspond to the touch gesture, and then displays the character that corresponds to the activated segments. In an example embodiment, the multi-segment display is a seven-segment display.

Abstract: The embodiments discussed herein describe an application device and method for calendar sharing and scheduling over a communication network. When a meeting is to be scheduled between two or more participants, the organizing participant enters an identification of the participants and requests a time suggestion. In response to the request, information relating to the availability and/or preferences of each participant is gathered from one or more databases and processed centrally in a remote server to determine a block of time during which all the participants are commonly free. The block of time is pushed to a user interface for display. If the organizing user selects the block of time, a meeting request may be sent to the participants to confirm the meeting.

According to some example embodiments, participant brief data including a list of participants of events within a selected date range is generated. At least a portion of the participant brief data may be presented on a display. The participant brief data may also include context data associated with at least one of the participants in the list.

Statistics data is generated as a function of classified calendar data. One or more search categories and a type of data presentation may be received as user input. The server or the client device may generate the statistics data as a function of the received analysis criteria. Calendar data for multiple users may be collected and centrally processed, for example, at the server.
