  • Publication number: 20060047011
Abstract: PUR/PIR rigid foams based on aliphatic polyester polyols are produced by reacting an organic polyisocyanate with an isocyanate reactive component that includes a polyester polyol containing units derived from (1) adipic acid and (2) at least one of glutaric, succinic and sebacic acid. These foams may be produced spraying. These foams are particularly suitable for use in laminates.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 26, 2005
    Publication date: March 2, 2006
Inventors: Jacqueline Kusan-Bindels, Uwe Kunzel, Hartmut Nefzger, Torsten Heinemann
  • Patent number: 6921000
Abstract: This invention relates to an apparatus and a process for rapidly and accurately dispensing fluids, in which at least one component is dispensed into the reaction vessel in two or three stages. In this process, the amount of fluid dispensed in the second and third stages is determined on the basis of the mass flow rate calculated in the preceding sub-step.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 2, 2002
Date of Patent: July 26, 2005
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Joachim Wagner, Peter Jähn, Jacqueline Kusan-Bindels, Dagmar Ulbrich, Rolf Albach, Hermann-Josef Kirschbaum
  • Patent number: 6840124
Abstract: Rapid and efficient production and examination of formulations for polyurethane foams using only small amounts of materials are achieved by allowing the foam-forming mixture to foam in a container, preparing disks from sections of the container in which the foam is present and removing a plurality of cylindrical samples having substantially the same density from the disk.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 24, 2003
Date of Patent: January 11, 2005
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft
