    Abstract: An inflated bladder-type sports or leisure ball, e.g., a football, having as a cover, an external layer of polyurethane or polyurethane-polyurea foam with compact integral skin. The thickness of the covering layer is between about 1.5 and about 5 mm, whereas the thickness of the compact integral skin is between about 0.5 and about 2 mm. The ball may be of a hand-sewn, laminated or overmolded type. A process for manufacturing such balls is disclosed.
