    Abstract: Process for treating a flow of tobacco leaves, characterized in that it comprises removing the parenchyma from the ligneous parts at a time when at least said ligneous parts of the leaves have a relative humidity of at least 70%, separating the leaf fragments thereby obtained into two homogeneous flows composed respectively of the parenchyma and the ligneous parts and treating separately the parenchyma and the ligneous parts.
