Abstract: A window for an airplane pressurized cockpit having a window opening and a rabbet defining a periphery of the window opening includes first and second sheets of glass, and a separating layer positioned between the first and second sheets of glass and connecting the first and second sheets of glass. The separating layer has a periphery which does not extend substantially beyond peripheries of the first and second sheets of glass. A rigid belt is embedded in the separating layer adjacent the periphery of the separating layer for rigidifying the periphery of said separating layer. The rigid belt ensures that the separating layer is held in place in case of rupture of the glass sheets.

Abstract: A system comprising a bottle with a variable volume the outer side wall of which is deformable in the direction of the height and a device integrated into the inside of the bottle and retained in the latter to hold the bottle in one of a series of states of volume and to allow its gradual deformation from one state of given volume to another state of smaller volume, the system being applicable in particular to fizzy beverages.

Abstract: Appliance for plucking out unwanted hair, comprising a series of thin blades (3a, 3b) placed one behind the other with their edges parallel so as to form, in groups of two, a plurality of gripping and plucking pincers. The blades are mounted on a common support (5) which executes a translational alternating movement along an axis parallel to the edges of the blades. In addition, the blades (3a, 3b) are coupled with two small transverse actuating bars (11a, 11b) which are capable of successively spreading apart and clamping the edges of two neighboring blades (3a, 3b) which constitute the same pincers, by transverse displacement of said bars in one direction and the other. The bars themselves are actuated by control means provided opposite their ends. This appliance is intended to be used to remove hair from the skin.

Abstract: A depilating appliance comprises a rotary depilation roller formed by a series of blades placed side by side. The blades of the roller are movably mounted on their driving shaft so as to be capable of pivoting about an axis perpendicular to the shaft. The depilation blades are actuated by means of sliding bars which are capable of producing a pivotal displacement of the blades at least once per revolution of the roller so that one blade pivots in one direction, the following blade pivots in the opposite direction, and each blade pivots about a separate and distinct axis perpendicular to the driving shaft. Two adjacent blades are thus clamped against each other opposite to the work surface, the hairs being then pinched between the two blades in order to be removed.

Abstract: A depilating apparatus has a depilator head (1) comprising a series of movable blades (7) arranged in pairs for forming a plurality of tweezers for gripping and pulling out the hairs to be eliminated. The depilator head is linked with a mechanical drive adapted for imparting thereto a translational movement, substantially along a plane (X-X') parallel to the plane defined by the free edges of the movable blades (7) forming the gripping tongs, and for further imparting thereto, during this translational movement, a movement of retraction away from this plane (X-X'), this latter movement taking place along an axis (Z-Z') perpendicular to this plane. There is further an actuator for driving the movable gripping blades (7) so as to effect the closing of the pinching tongs before the beginning of the retraction movement of the depilator head, and to cause these tongs to open and to remain open until they are closed again before the next retraction of the depilator head.

Abstract: In order to pluck-out superfluous hairs, a hand-held depilating appliance has a rotary drum which carries one or a number of rows of gripping blades so arranged as to project from the periphery of the drum and to extend in a direction parallel to its axis. Within or opposite to the recesses existing at the periphery of the rotary drum between the different rows of gripping blades, provision is made for skin protection blades having a circular external contour, the center of which coincides with the axis of the drum. These protective blades are disposed in planes perpendicular to the axis of the drum and are distributed over its entire length so as to constitute a virtual protection cylinder at the periphery of the depilating roller formed by the drum and the gripping blades.

Abstract: The depilating appliance comprises a series of hair-plucking grippers constituted by blades movably mounted on a support plate which is driven in rotation about a central shaft at right angles to the plate. The blades are disposed radially in one or a number of rows and placed in each row at right angles with respect to the corresponding radius of rotation. The blades are movably mounted on their support plate so that their free edges can be applied against each other or opened-out in the alternate sequence. During rotation of the support plate, closing and opening of the grippers take place at least once per revolution.
