    Abstract: A rimlock for use with an eyeglass frame is provided. The rimlock comprises a pair of flanges which protrude from the frame at a split therein. A spring is fed through a bore passing through the flanges whereby a portion of the spring internal to the rimlock at a widened portion of the bore is in tension thereby biasing the flanges into engagement allowing the frame to hold a lens in position within the frame. By pulling the flanges apart, the lens can be removed.

    Abstract: A method and system for generating a user interface in a database management system. A semantic data model is used to describe a database in terms of data types stored in the database and functional types that describe relationships between the data types stored in the database. The system dynamically queries the data model to generate a graph of the data model itself. These queries are initiated by the system without user intervention. The user selects a node on the graph that causes the data model to be searched again to determine the name of the node selected, one or more types of relationships associated with the node selected and one or more instances of the relationships associated with the node selected. This information is used to generate a form containing a plurality of blanks. A user enters a query constraint into one or more of the blanks and the database is searched for instances of data meeting the query constraints.

    Abstract: A measuring circuit for the additive phase noise characteristic of a component in the vicinity of a carrier frequency. The measuring circuit is constructed of a central channel and two side channels. Each of these channels contains a model of the component to be characterized. Two phase detecting circuits are employed in which each processes an input signal from one of the side channels with an input signal from the central channel to generate signals which represent phase deviations between the two input signals. An intercorrelation circuit then utilizes the outputs from these phase detecting circuits to determine the characteristic additive phase noise of the component to be characterized by eliminating any additive phase noise superadded by other measuring circuit elements or induced by outside disturbances.

    Abstract: A process for obtaining a plasminogen activator involves treating an acetone extract powder of organs of animals, such as the lungs and kidneys of pigs, calves, bullocks, horses, lambs or sheep or the ovaries of porcine, bovine or ovine animals, by suspension in an aqueous saline solution, taking up the precipitate obtained in an aqueous saline solution of greater ionic strength and lower pH-value, decanting the solution and precipitating therefrom at acidic pH by adding a salt or an organic solvent, further taking up the precipitate obtained in water or a saline solution, followed by repeated precipitation by adding a salt at a somewhat higher pH-value, finally taking up the precipitate obtained in water and dialyzing the solution, and optionally purifying the solution obtained.The activator obtained may be used as a medicament.
