  • Patent number: 6817177
Abstract: A replenishing device for a closed circuit comprising at least one hydraulic motor and at least two main pipes which are connected to the pump to provide respectively the feed and the discharge for the motor. The device comprises a replenishing selector suitable for putting the main pipe that is at the lower pressure in communication with a valve which itself communicates with an atmospheric pressure reservoir. The replenishing selector and the valve are united in the same replenishing valve unit having an inlet suitable for being connected to the main pipe that is at the lower pressure, and an outlet which communicates continuously with the atmospheric pressure reservoir. The valve is suitable for causing the inlet to communicate with the outlet when the pressure in said main pipe reaches a given pressure threshold.

  • Patent number: 6802182
Abstract: The tapping circuit forms part of a main fluid circuit which comprises a hydraulic motor having a preferred operating direction and at least two main pipes suitable for communicating with the cylinder block of the motor and constituting respectively, in said preferred operating direction, a feed main pipe and a discharge main pipe. The tapping circuit comprises a single tapping and removal valve connected continuously via a tapping pipe to that one of said main pipes which, in the preferred direction, serves for discharge purposes. This valve serves to replenish the fluid so as to cool it and/or to flush the internal space of the casing of the motor.

  • Patent number: 6569047
Abstract: A drive device incorporating a hydraulic motor and a planetary reduction gear. The motor includes a housing in which radial pistons are disposed. The device includes a coupling between the output of the motor and the input of the reduction gear, the reduction gear including a housing in which a planetary reduction gear system is disposed having an output provided for driving in rotation. The housing of the motor and the housing of the reduction gear form distinct enclosures and the device allows circulation of fluid between these housings and for controlling this circulation by limiting this circulation in at least one direction of circulation between the housing of the motor and the housing of the reduction gear.

The device comprises a replenishing selector suitable for putting the main pipe that is at the lower pressure in communication with a valve which itself communicates with a pressure-free reservoir. The replenishing selector and the valve are united in the same replenishing valve unit having an inlet suitable for being connected to the main pipe that is at the lower pressure, and an outlet which communicates continuously with the pressure-free reservoir. The valve is suitable for causing the inlet to communicate with the outlet when the pressure in said main pipe reaches a given pressure threshold.

  • Patent number: 6318235
Abstract: A cylinder-capacity selector for a hydraulic motor having at least two active operating cylinder capacities and comprising having at least two main ducts. The selector includes three ports and distribution ducts of the motor to establish selective communication between the main ducts and the cylinders of the motor. When the selector passes between its first and second stable positions, in at least one displacement direction, an intermediate stage exists that is maintained for a lapse of time, during which all three ports are in communication and the section of at least one of the passages between the first and second ports and between the second and third ports of the selector is constricted.

  • Patent number: 6222675
Abstract: Different viewing mechanisms are used for left and right eyes. One of the eyes is presented with an image from a single image source that occupies the entire field of view of the eye. The view presented by this first image source is a wide field of view with a relatively low resolution. A second image source presents a second view to the other eye of the user. The second view is a narrower-field-of-view, higher resolution depiction of the same view or scene as presented by the first image source. Additionally, the second image source includes a direct see-through path so that the user can view the real outside surroundings. The combination of low resolution, wide field of view in one eye combined with a high resolution, narrow field of view with see-through in the other eye allows the user to be presented with a computer-generated simulation view having both wide field of view with specific, high resolution at the viewer's visual center of interest.

  • Patent number: 6078427
Abstract: A head-mounted display includes an aperture mask between the eye and a viewfinder to mask the line artifacts resulting from visible edges of mechanisms, such as imagers, within the display. The aperture has a translucent area that matches the geometry of the edge desired to be masked. In an application where a high-resolution image is presented to one eye, centered within a lower-resolution image presented to the other eye, the aperture is positioned to mask the edges of the high-resolution image source. In an application where see-through is desired, the opaque area is sacrificed in favor of a partially transparent mask. The translucent area can be graduated so that a smooth transition area between the edges of the high-resolution display and the lower-resolution display is achieved.

  • Patent number: 5950683
Abstract: A pipe repair assembly for sealing leaks in pipelines that transmit oil, chemicals, steam and the like, is disclosed. The assembly is in the form of a two-part sleeve which forms an enclosure or box over a section of leaking pipe. The sleeve includes a pre-fitted sealing jacket to provide a snug fit over the pipe contour. Optionally, the assembly may have a channel or groove transverse to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve and spaced inwardly of the ends of the sleeves for receiving a floating metal ring and a ring of sealant material. The floating ring, sealant ring and sealing jacket are all compressed when bolts connecting the two parts of the sleeve are secured.

  • Patent number: 5473894
Abstract: In a combination of two pressurized fluid motors fed in parallel by a common feed circuit, each of the pressurized fluid motors includes a casing and a cylinder block rotatable about an axis relative to a cam constrained to rotate with said casing and having a communication side perpendicular to the axis. An internal fluid distributor is constrained to rotate with the cam. It has a distribution side perpendicular to the axis and bears against the communication side. Distribution conduits open onto the distribution side and are formed in the internal fluid distributor of each motor. The casings of the two motors are constrained to rotate together.
