This pump (1) is characterized in that the separation chamber (9a) between the main chamber (9) and the piston (10), with said piston (10) impelling the product toward the outlet opening (7) of the pump (1), is sealed with respect to the flow of the product, the latter not passing through said separation chamber, and in that the means (16) for returning the piston to its position closing the outlet opening (7) may be accommodated in this separation chamber (9a). Application to the field of dispensing a liquid or viscous product from a container, especially to spraying of said product.
