Abstract: An aquarium filter assembly includes a filter assembly body, a water supply section and a filtered water section, the aquarium filter assembly being adapted for liquid connection with an aquarium, a removable filter cartridge caddy within the filter assembly body, a base with an outer peripheral wall extending upwardly from the base and an inner peripheral wall extending upwardly from the base surrounding an opening in the base, a support for a filter cartridge, a lift handle, a removable cover connectable to an upper portion of the support; a multi-paneled filter cartridge of filter material with a space between the panels removably supportable on the support; and a water supply assembly to supply water from the aquarium to the filtered water section, such that water flows from the water supply section through the filter cartridge supported by the caddy, into the filtered water section of the filter assembly body and then into the aquarium.

Abstract: A filter external to a tank, including a vessel, a lid for closing the vessel, a basket disposed in the vessel for housing filtering components, a top wall bearing sealingly in a central part of the lid allowing communication with the central part, a water-circulating pump disposed in the central part, and means for automatically removing air from a water delivery side, wherein the water is conveyed through the lid by first piping passing through the lid, the water moving down into the vessel on an outside of the basket, entering the basket via a bottom of the basket, passing upward through the basket over the filtering components and leaving the basket at a top of the basket in the central part to be sucked up by the pump and delivered to second piping passing through the lid toward a pipe delivering to the tank.

Abstract: The invention concerns a filter comprising a vessel (2) sealingly closed with a lid, the vessel containing at least a basket (4) housing filtering components (5) and including an upper wall (9) supported sealed in the central part of the lid (3) and enabling communication with said central part which contains a pump (16) circulating water, the water being brought through the lid by a pipe (13) passing therethrough, descending into the vessel outside the basket, penetrating therein through its base, passing through the basket (4) from down upwards passing over the filtering components (5) and emerging from the basket at the top and into the central part thereof to be sucked up by the pump (16) and delivered into the pipe (18) passing through the lid towards the delivery conduit towards the tank, including means (25, 26, 27, 28, 29) automatically evacuating air on the side delivering water.

Abstract: The invention concerns a filter comprising a sealed vessel containing various filtering components and consisting of a vessel (2) closed with a lid (3) equipped with a removable connector (7) for a pipe (9) supplying water from the tank and a pipe (12) returning water to the tank, each of the connecting elements of the two pipes on the connector being provided with a valve allowing or preventing water to flow through, and the connector is equipped with means to be fixed on the lid. The connector (7) is equipped with a single means (19) for simultaneously actuating the valves mounted on the two pipes and the means fixing the connector (7) on the lid (3).
