Abstract: A leak monitoring and emergency venting apparatus for a double-walled tank includes a pipe for connecting a space between the walls of the tank to the atmosphere, a plug releasably closing an outer end of the pipe, and a pressure gauge in the plug in fluid communication with the interior of the pipe for monitoring the fluid pressure between the walls of the tank. If the pressure in the space between the walls of the tank rises above a predetermined level, the plug and gauge are discharged from the pipe allowing venting of the space to the atmosphere.

Abstract: The invention relates to the dehairing (depilating) of animal pelts, hides or skins, more specifically to depilatory paint and depilatory paint (depilation paint) thickener used in the depilation process in for example fellmongeries. The invention provides a depilatory paint thickener comprising a starch containing essentially only amylopectin molecules. Such thickener, is among other things, easily soluble in cold water; improves diffusion of chemicals (like sulfide or lime) throughout the skin; improves viscosity or resistance to shear of a paint, whereby less starch is needed to exert a similar effect; and increases the suspendability of a lime, allowing less time to be used which creates environmental advantages in waste disposal.

Abstract: The device comprises a casing, with a passage for introduction of an end portion of the sheathed wires, a catch for receiving the said end portions in the casing, a clip (12) arranged to be introduced into the casing transversely to the sheathes, with at least two slots (13) to grip the sheathes of the wires and to draw them towards the inside and the bottom of the casing and arranged to cooperate with the catch in order to strip the wires. Spacing means (52, 53) are also provided between the catch and the gripping and drawing clip (12) to keep their spacing greater than a cutting threshold.

Abstract: The device comprises, mounted on a support base (1), a catch (3) provided with a window (10) for receiving sheathed wires and, mounted on a slide (15) arranged to be moved transversely to the sheathes (32, 33), a clip (17) comprising means (23) for gripping the sheathes (32, 33) of the wires and drawing them towards the bottom (6) of the support base (1) and arranged to cooperate with the catch (3) to strip the wires (30, 31) longitudinally. The reception window (10) of the catch (3) is open to the outside to permit the placing of the wires transversely to themselves and parallel to the relative displacement of the slide (15) and of the support base (1).

Abstract: Ski shaped like an elongated beam, comprising a lower slide face bounded laterally by two lower edges, an upper face bounded laterally by two upper edges, and two lateral faces, the ski being constituted by a central part extended toward the front by a front part ending, at its front end, by the tip and extended toward the rear by a rear part ending, at its rear end, in the heel-piece. The front part is constituted by a front section connected to the central part by a front intermediate connection section, while this rear part is formed by a rear section connected to the central part by a rear intermediate connection section. The two upper edges of the upper surface are parallel in the central part, while one of the two front or rear section is such that, in this area, first, the lateral faces are inclined so as to converge upward, and second, the upper surface is narrower than it is in the central part and has a uniform width.

Abstract: A ski including an upper surface whose transverse section has a rounded convex shape over the greater portion of the length of the ski. The average radius of the upper surface varies in accordance with the considered longitudinal position of the transverse section along the ski, and is less in the central zone of the ski than in the vicinity of the front and rear end of the ski. This enables the height to be increased in the central portion of the ski and at the same time to reduce the height of the sides of the ski.

Abstract: A gain control device for a CRT video monitor in which the front face of the monitor corresponds to the screen of the tube and comprises various control buttons, among which is a gain control button. A gain control button circuit receiving the video signal in accordance with the invention is arranged at the neighborhood of the monitor rear face close to the tube socket. This circuit comprises an electronic potentiometer controlled by a d.c. signal set by a potentiometer arranged at the neighborhood of the front face and coupled with the gain control button.

Abstract: A connection device is provided including a housing with a chimney for inserting wires to be connected, extended inside the housing, and in which a catch is locked. A plug, having a slotted clip for gripping, pulling and stripping the wires by extrusion of their sheath between the catch and the clip, is driven into the housing. The clip is locked on the housing. The space between the clip and the catch is less than the diameter of the core of the wires.

Abstract: A connection device is provided for connecting sheathed conducting wires comprising a housing in which is formed a passage for insertion of the wires, inside the housing a catch with a reception opening, a lower edge of which forms a stripping edge, a drawer slidable in the housing transversely to the sheaths and having a clip provided with slits for pulling the wires and fitting on to the catch. The slits of the clip grip the ends of the wires leaving the opening, pull them downwardly of the housing until they come into abutment against a bottom, while the edge strips it longitudinally. The wires are firmly held in a zigzag obstacle.

Abstract: The connecting device achieves the electrical junction and mechanical assembly of at least two thread-like single-strand or multi-strand conductors through the agency of a connecting member insulated by at least one slidable terminal which is at least partly dielectric and locked in position on said member after the union of the member with the conductors. The connecting member has at least two inputs and at least two orifices in which the bared ends of the conductors are engaged in the form of a labyrinth shape. The terminal covers the bared ends of the two conductors. The connecting device is applicable to the electrical installations of living quarters and industrial premises and to any machine supplied with electricity.
