  • Publication number: 20200198962
Abstract: A device for attaching two elements such as a chip, an interposer and a support, at least one of said two elements being micro-manufactured. The device includes at least one projecting stud structured in a first element extending facing the second element, the stud being configured to create an attachment area between one end of the stud and the second element. The device also includes an attachment layer deposited in the attachment area so as to attach the stud to the second element, and a recess made in the attachment area such that the attachment layer extends at least partially into the recess.

  • Publication number: 20140352431
Abstract: A resonator micro-electronic inertial sensor, preferably a micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) sensor (e.g. a gyro), for detecting linear accelerations and rotation rates in more than one axis comprises: a proof-mass system (21.1, 21.4) flexibly suspended above a substrate for performing a rotational in-plane vibration about a central axis (24,) a drive electrode system (D1, . . . D4) for driving the proof-mass system (21.1, . . . 21.4) to perform said rotational in-plane vibration, and a sensing electrode system (S1, S8) connected to the proof-mass system (21.1, . . . 21.4) for detecting linear accelerations or rotation rates in more than one axis. Said proof-mass system (21.1 21.4) has more than two proof-mass elements flexibly coupled (25.1a, 25.1b) to each other. Each proof-mass element (21.1, 21.2) is directly and flexibly connected (23.1, 25.1a, 25.1b) to an anchor structure (22) on the substrate (32). The proof-mass elements (21.1, . . . 21.

  • Publication number: 20140224016
Abstract: A resonator micro-electronic gyro, preferably a micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) gym comprises a first and a second resonator mass (1, 2) suspended for rotational vibration. The two masses (1, 2) are flexibly connected by four mechanical coupling elements (4, 5, 6, 7) for anti-phase vibration. There is at least one positive and at least one negative sensing electrode (S11+, S11?, S21+, S21?) on each resonator mass (1, 2) for detecting an out-of-plane output movement of the masses (1, 2). A detection circuit is connected to be said positive and negative sensing electrodes and determines the output signal by differential detection of the signals on the basis of the following formula: Sxout=({S21+}?M{S11+})?({S21?}?M{S11?}), wherein {S21+}, {S21?} sensing electrode signals of the positive and negative detection electrode of the second mass, respectively; {S11+}, {S11?} sensing electrode signals of the positive and negative detection electrode of the first mass, respectively, ?=compensation factor.

  • Publication number: 20120096944
Abstract: Device for measuring pressure through the capacitive effect between two electrodes including at least one sensitive electrode spaced apart from and opposite a stationary electrode so as to define a cavity in which a reference pressure (Pref) exists. The device in accordance with the invention further includes a protective housing for insulating at least the stationary electrode from the ambient environment in which the pressure to be measured exists, the housing having at least one solid portion forming a recess for containing at least the stationary electrode, and a thinned portion forming the sensitive electrode.

  • Publication number: 20040202222
Abstract: The solid-state laser gyro of the invention comprises a solid-state resonator block, in which an optical path followed by two counterrotating waves generated by an optical-gain laser medium is defined, and, according to an important characteristic, the gain medium is attached to the resonator and is made of a rare-earth-doped crystal.

  • Patent number: 5609124
Abstract: A cleaning device is proposed for hot water tanks which each include near a bottom end thereof a drain pipe for allowing water contained in the tank to be flushed out therefrom. The present cleaning device comprises a first conduit adapted to be permanently secured to the drain pipe of the tank, a second conduit, such as a garden hose, connected to a sewer or a drain, and a valve mounted between the first and second conduits for controlling the flow therethrough and thus the flushing of the water and of the impurities and residues contained in the tank. The valve is preferably of the motorized type and is actuated by a programmable timer in order that the tank can be automatically and periodically flushed without intervention from the user.

  • Patent number: 4787917
Abstract: New product consisting of wood which is torrefied between 250.degree. and 280.degree. C. in a non oxidizing atmosphere, in the form of sticks of uniform length: 15 mm for example and having a diameter comprised between 5 and 20 mm, which are not disbarked. The preparation of the method comprised the obtention by culture of rectilinear ligneous rejections, the cutting, drying and torrefaction thereof preferably in a vertical reactor (101) where the material to be torrefied (115) is traversed by a gas stream circulating at high speed.

  • Patent number: 4268305
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for treating liquid steel for the manufacture of machine wire. All or part of the manganese is added to an extra-mild steel, obtained after refining by any steelmaking process, directly in the production apparatus to obtain the desired manganese content. The steel thus obtained is poured into a first ladle or into another pouring apparatus and carbon is added to the liquid mass in the first ladle and thereafter the metal obtained is poured into a second ladle and a given amount of, first, silicon and then aluminium is added. This process produces a machine wire which is more suitable for wiredrawing.
