  • Patent number: 9656376
Abstract: The present invention consists of the complete integration of a self arming controlled action pneumatic fastener magazine slider (pusher and feeder) within the two legs of a stack of U-shape staples on a magazine support rail, thanks to the interplay of two pairs of releasably interlocking sensor and keys fastener pusher elements. In one embodiment of the invention, the slider system is self-arming and fits within an elbowed magazine for receiving fasteners, but works along the straight portion of the magazine. This slider system will accommodate elongated magazine holding a larger number of fasteners. The slider system will decrease the time required for fastener reloading by simplifying operations and enabling a greater flexibility for the operator. A fastener retention device may be provide to the fastener pusher, defining an operative mode active with a large storage load of fasteners into the magazine, and a inoperative mode triggered when the load of magazine feeders decreases below a threshold value.

  • Patent number: 9481078
Abstract: A nailer is provided for securing planks to a subfloor in tight places with fasteners. A fastener ejection channel made in the nailer is formed in between a pair of first and second guide plates spacedly mounted parallel to one another. The first guide plate defines a planar inner end portion having an ovoidal slot and an outer end portion defining a transverse arcuate first flange. The second guide plate defines an arcuate second flange extending away from the first guide plate and generally parallel to the first flange. An elongated straight push rod is mounted partially nested at an inner end in the ovoidal slot. The bottom portion of the push rod is movable along the fastener ejection channel between first and second limit positions.

  • Patent number: 8292144
Abstract: The pneumatic nailer has an elbowed feeder magazine for feeding fasteners one at a time. The magazine has an elongated inner frame segment fixedly mounted to the nailer main frame, an elongated outer frame segment operatively connected in non-coaxial fashion to the inner frame segment. Each of the inner and outer frame segments has a corresponding first and second channels, for slidingly retaining fasteners in coextensive slidethrough fashion. The fasteners are movable under gravity forces from a fastener intake to a fastener discharge outlet opposite the fastener intake. A fastener pusher device may be provided with a pusher retention device having an operative mode, active with a large storage load of fasteners into the magazine, and an inoperative mode, triggered when the load of magazine fasteners decreases below a threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20100172719
Abstract: An asymmetrical engineering flooring nail for driving through an exposed surface of this flooring and fully thereinto. The nail defines an elongated shank having a transverse head at one end and a tapered tip at the opposite end; an intermediate portion of the shank includes a plurality of pairs of opposite teeth: Each transversely registering pair of opposite teeth are lengthwisely offset relative to one another by a small acute angle relative thereto; the number of first teeth on one side of shank is greater than the number of second teeth on the opposite side thereof, so that a smooth toothless upper side portion of said shank portion corresponds to the shank side of said second teeth is longer than that of the first teeth.

  • Patent number: 6834789
Abstract: A pneumatic mallet-blow operated fastener driving tool for securing hardwood planks to a subfloor, which comprises a fastener discharge mechanism in turn comprising a housing having a pressurized main chamber in direct link with a compressed air intake, a selectively depressurizable closure chamber pressurized when the tool is at rest, and a cylinder in which a piston having a plunger affixed thereto is slidably mounted. A valve, biased toward a closed position when the closure chamber is pressurized, or biased towards its open limit position if the closure chamber is depressurized, permits selective establishment of fluid communication between the inside of the cylinder and the pressurized main chamber. The piston, at a retracted limit position when the tool is at rest, is forced towards a deployed limit position when fluid communication is established between the main chamber and the inside of the cylinder, in order for its plunger to strike a fastener and drive it into an underlying plank.

  • Patent number: 6123245
Abstract: The nailer has a horizontal nail magazine and an integral vertical column. The magazine horizontally feeds the nails through an inclined inlet port, into a vertical channel located in the column, and inside which is vertically slidable a selectively powered driver rod which hits and expels the nails through a nail outlet port. The vertical channel has a front and a rear wall adjacent the single nail located in the channel, and lateral walls. The inclined inlet port is located in the channel rear wall. When the driver rod is forcibly downwardly driven along the channel, it hits the upper inclined nail head with its flat lower abutment edge, thus gradually pivoting the nail into a vertical position as the nail is being driven towards the nailer outlet port. This results in the nail being pivoted from a position in which it is in transverse register with the inlet port, to a position in which it is in transverse register with the channel rear wall.
