  • Patent number: 6479589
Abstract: A process for preparing polyethylene, including contacting ethylene monomer and an alpha-olefin comonomer to produce a first polyethylene (HLMI of ≦0.5 g/10 min, density ≦0.925 g/ml). The a catalyst system is a bis tetrahydroindenyl formula (IndH4)2R″MQ2 wherein each Ind is the same or different and is indenyl or substituted indenyl, R″ is a bridge which comprises a C1-C20 alkylene radical, a dialkyl germanium or silicon or siloxane, or an alkyl phosphine or amine radical, which bridge is substituted or unsubstituted, M is a Group IVB transition metal or vanadium and each Q is hydrocarbyl having 1 to 20 carbon atoms or halogen. The polyethylene resin having multimodal molecular weight distribution is formed by mixing the first polyethylene with a second polyethylene (produced with a different catalyst and with a lower molecular weight and higher density than the first polyethylene).

  • Patent number: 6470030
Abstract: An OFDM receiver system for performing precise OFDM demodulation is provided. The OFDM receiver system performs demodulation by sharing memories and operators in a time-divisional manner. FFT-processed data is separated into specific pilot signals and data according to the timing indicated by a controller to then be rearranged and stored, thereby facilitating extraction of corresponding pilot signals and data for various synchronization and equalization steps. Therefore, the demodulation system having an optimal structure can be realized in view of resource utilization efficiency and chip areas, the cost and time for fabricating and designing the system can be reduced, and verification of the system can be easily performed.

  • Patent number: 5748649
Abstract: The magnetic code may include a run of b spoiled bits in a position that is locatable. The system consists in adding a check structure of k bits to the m-bit message in such a manner that the resulting n-bit word n=m+k is a cyclic redundancy code word generated by a generator polynomial G(x) of degree k that divides x.sup.n -1 without remainder in modulo-2 algebra. On reading, the system locates a packet of spoilt bits by detecting magnetic spoiling of the track which should normally be in the form of magnets of length l.sub.1 =l.+-.l/2 and l.sub.2 =2l.+-.l/2, with there being no runs of an odd number of successive magnets of length l.sub.1, given the bi-phase code used. A detected error is corrected by applying the relationship G(x) to the message as read after circular permutation has been applied thereto to move the missing bits to the end of the message.

  • Patent number: 4077058
Abstract: A multiprogrammable/multiprocessing digital computer system having a process control block for each process in the system, wherein each process control block includes information which specifies the state of a processor at any given time. Associated with each process control block is a decor extension table having information to indicate whether a specified function, such as the emulation of another processor, may be executed in the system. A native mode instruction indicating a specified function for either one instruction or for a plurality of instructions, is first checked to determine proper format, after which a determination is made by means of the decor extension table, as to whether or not the system is capable of executing the specified function indicated by the native mode instruction.
