  • Patent number: 8091226
Abstract: Connector assemblies for use with implantable medical devices having easy to assemble contacts is disclosed. The connector assemblies are generally formed by coupling a plurality of contact rings, sealing rings, and spring contact elements together with at least one holding ring to form a connector having a common bore fore receiving a medical lead cable. Contact grooves for positioning the spring contact elements are formed in part by assembling multiple components together.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 10, 2008
Date of Patent: January 10, 2012
    Assignee: Bal Seal Engineering, Inc.
Inventors: Robbie J. Sjostedt, Farshid Dilmaghanian, Jacques Naviaux

  • Patent number: 7195523
Abstract: An electrical conductive path for medical electronic device generally includes a plurality of stackable molded non-conductive housing with each housing having a bore therethrough alignable with adjacent housing bores. The adjacent housings and define any combination when stacked, spaced apart slots for receiving a plurality of electrically conductive spring rings. A plurality of electrically conducting garter springs are disposed within corresponding spring rings and a cable is provided including wires attached to corresponding spring rings.

  • Patent number: 7175441
Abstract: A multiple positioning assembly includes a housing having a cavity therein with a circumferential groove disposed proximate a cavity opening. A ball assembly including a ball portion forms a spheroidal joint with the cavity which enables conical movement of the ball assembly. A plunger is slidably disposed within a bore through the ball portion of the ball assembly and electrical connections enable lateral movement of the plunger to control power to a light bulb attached to the plunger.

  • Publication number: 20060224208
Abstract: An implantable medical device includes an impulse generator having a header and a contact assembly which includes at least one molded plastic housing having two halves joined together with the halves defining a bore therethrough. A canted coil spring is disposed within the housing halves along a bore circumference and includes a weld plate which extends to an exterior of the housing halves. A weld plate overlays the housing halves exterior which is joined to both the spring lead and devices wires.
